ahwahoo2006
Tangiers, Im confused. You said its the 4th most used recreational drug in the world but not a cannaboid. However, according to Clarke, Robert C. and David W. Pate. Medical Marijuana, 1994. Journal of the International Hemp Association 1: 9-12. "...marijuana is used by 20-30 million people in the US and many times that number worldwide, under completely uncontrolled circumstances, with little apparent harm. It is the world's fourth most popular recreational drug behind caffeine, alcohol and nicotine... "
mushrat
hmmmm.....VERY interesting....nice research ahwahoo. I tried to find that sort of info early on.
ahwahoo2006
Further info correlating the two things... From the Christian Science Monitor: "Indian Customs chief M S Kamra in Srinagar [says] that the greatest narcotics challenge is not what comes from outside, but what is grown inside Kashmir itself. Pointing to photos of white and pink poppies and tall stalks of cannabis being hacked down by a borrowed contingent of Indian Army soldiers, he says: '"These things can be seen from the highway, there is nothing concealed about it. There is a punishment of 10 years imprisonment for growing it, but it's openly done."'" so marijuana is the 4th most used recreational drug and is grown in Kashmir... ahwahoo2006
So marijuana with the THC removed is just hemp.... And on an unrelated note, this is apparently growing wild all over South Dakota http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/06/12/...p/strange/mainD 8I6UJR00.shtml
The Pope
Other statistics show the betel nut as the fourth most used. What I'm thinking of is from a very different place - Columbia and Peru. If it's good enough for Coca-Cola, it might be a legitimate flavoring agent in tobacco.
mushrat
hmmm....Opiates have also been eliminated. And betel nut in various mixtures has been guessed as well... Not sure about Coca.... Remember..its an actual multi ingredient SOMETHING.
ahwahoo2006
What abour saffron?
mushrat
saffron has been guessed as well, it may be PART of what the flavour is... Tangiers gave an examplea while back, if the flavour is a bananna split, and you guess chocolate syrup and bananna, you've got some of the ingredients, but not what the flavour IS. Lord Dorian
Im going to guess betel nut and turmeric, perhaps with some fennel or clove in there as well.
thepyrofish
Wow, I got my order in today and I am smoking the Melon Blend right now. Definately good, though not as amazing as I have read. I have a friend coming over right away, someone who got me into hookah very recently and learned from friends in the UAE. She'll fix it for me Even with my problems it is the best I have tried yet. So far I've only experienced some crappy half dried out Nakhla that I didnt even realise was bad because I didn't know any better. I'm glad it was cheap($5/250g, I bought 3 flavours) because I'm going to have to throw it out now.
mushrat
Ok, some of you are missing the point i think...its not the ingredients we're looking for, but the finished product.
