mushrat
sure is..4 hookahs back to back with quicklites or even naturals is going to give you a nicotine headache unless you are a very heavy smoker already. Make sure you drink plenty of water, take a few pain killers, and get soemthing to eat.

Endlesssummer63
yea dude, i used to smoke cigs for a long time. now i stick to hookah. but the time period of about 6 months when i went from smoking all the time to no nicotine at all and then picking up the hookah again was horrible. i would get migraines and the shakes from smoking for like 15mins on the hookah. my best remedy for that is 2 Excedrin, a cheese sandwich, a cold shower, and a 30 min nap in the ac. Enjoy it works perfectly.

Dom
sometimes, none of that will work for me. the only thing that sooths my "hookah head" is a nice hot shower. usually headache medicine does not work for me when it comes to that kind of headache. Joshmmc
First time I smoked a hookah, was the day I bought my first hookah, so I didnt know lots about it. All my local shop had to offer were these terrible "Taru" Quicklights and Herbal Shisha, which I bought. The big clouds and cool smoke temperature amazed me so I smoked for hours, hauling as hard as I possibly could, going through 8 of the 10 coals. I went inside afterwords and sat down in front of the TV and about 15 minutes later my headache started coming. First, subtle, like a dehydration or lack of sleep kind of headache, and then it got worse and worse. Pretty quick, a pounding, splitting insane headache. I drank as much water as I possibly could and layed down. Fell asleep at I guess about 7pm, slept until 8 the next morning and woke up with a worse headache than I went to sleep with. Lasted about 3, close to 4 days before it started to fade out. I didn't do much but lay in bed, it totally took me out. I researched it later on and discovered that the quicklight coals, especially the cheaper ones are known to use Potassium Nitrate to coat the outside of the coal to light them rapidly. Potassium Nitrate is pretty toxic, and is capable of making you sick and/or giving you a severe headache, but the main cause was the quality of the whole entire coal. The cheap material the Taru's are made of release a tremendous amount of Carbon Monoxide, a chemical I've had minimal exposure to in my life. Carbon Monoxide Poisining gives a mean headache that can last days if severe, which it was in my case, but may not be in yours depending on the severity of the co2 poisoning and your tolerance based on past exposure. Drink lots of water, Tylenols help, Food, Rest, > AND MOST IMPORTANTLY : GET FRESH AIR. < It is possible to use Quicklights, even the "Taru" coals, but the key is moderation. Take it easy, take breaks of fresh air and dont go for hours at a time. I hope you start feeling better and my info helps.
