In The Market For A New Hookah, I Need Advice.

Recommended Posts

Ive never had a bad smoking experience with any medium-large KM. That being said for the money you would pay i would vote get the KM. The mya is a little too expensive...almost as if your paying for the name. But either way you go they both will smoke very well.

In terms of size, all comes down to personal preference. I never noticed a distinct difference between a medium sized hookah and large sized hook in terms of smoke volume.

just my .02

go with the KM

Which KM do u guys think is better? The one I was previously asking about or the Hafa.
http://www.hookahcompany.com/hafa_khalil_m...h_2086_prd1.htm

It says the Hafa has a brass downstem and the other one has a stainless steel. which one is better. how much of a difference will it make in maintenance and the life of the hookah.

thanks guys. keep em coming

I have that Red Pear and I love it. I am using it now. It is my go to Hookah next to my Tri-Metal. Buy it you will be very happy. I have a MYA Blue Frost and I do not like it.

yea i saw and heard a lot of good things about the tri-metal hookahs. i couldnt find any online though. any suggestions where i can find one.

Tri Metals are all out of stock everywhere. KM's are good hookas, but let me tell you that Staff is a champ! The cloissone stems are gorgeous, the staff smokes almost effortlessly, and The cloisone hoses...are heavy and pull almost as easy as a nammor.

Yeah i emailed him about that and he said he'd throw in a box of exoticas for free, even though I prefer cocos now I will def use the exoticas, especially for free.

Sorta...I called as soon as I placed my order because when I went back to their homepage, I noticed that they were running a promotion of a kilo of Exoticas with the purchase of a KM pipe. Since I didn't take advantage of it during my checkout, I called after to see if I could. He said, once it hadn't shipped, it'd be no problem. Done deal. Good customer service indeed. And, I spent a few minutes talking about their incoming stock, which may include more KM pipes. Also, they replenished their real Japanese coal stock, but apparently haven't changed their site to reflect that.

So I made my decision and bought the 36" red pear Km. To my surprise thehookah.com is located in Glendale CA which is 5 min away from my work. I just went straight to the warehouse and picked up the hookah. It is beutiful. i am actually smoking as Im typing this. smokes great. the only critisism i have is that it doesnt purge as well as some people described it in the forum. the ball doesnt lift up enough from the blow-off valve. i dont know if its because its too heavy or what not. overall i think its a great hookah and im happy with it so far.

i want to thank everyone for helping me make this decision. you all really helped.

That is really cool. Make sure you clean out the hose port and the purge port with water and a small brush if you have one, or run water through the ports from the bottom of where the downstem fits into the vase, and then blow out the water. You may find some fuzz in there. I always have with KM's. Could be a little blockage in there. Clean up where the ball bearing goes and the ball bearing. Take some vegetable oil and shake the container, take off the cap and there will be some oil in it, throw in the bb and put back into the purge valve, but make sure there is not too much oil. Then you should be just fine.

Also we need pics too, you know the rules...lol
