I haven't seen anything that would indicate that he's adulterating the packages. Mushy's sending me a sample, though. I have talked with Neil regarding his repackaging kilos into 250g packages. He didn't know that I didn't allow it, and he said he wouldn't do it anymore. That could be a source of problems, which is exactly why I don't allow retailers to repackage my stuff. The problems that would be associated with repackaging might resemble some of the symptoms people are reporting. I'm pretty sure there's no great conspiracy of mixing with other stuff. The reports don't quite fit in with that scenario...don't worry about buying from Neil, I'm sure its fine. "Family Size" Charcoal Packaged in black and red, the box is made to look like Japanese coals. Awful. Avoid. Silver coating dusts off, lights poorly, stinks badly. A lower quality, higher priced version of Diamante. Blown Charcoal Looks good. Burns well. Owner used to be business partners with the guy making the counterfeit Three Kings, but they're split off now.Fantasia Pink lemonade. Makes me jealous!Coconara Sounds good. Going OK. Some good reviews. The side of box says sulfur free...how does a charcoal come out without sulfur? Even Japanese charcoal, thats processed to remove a lot of sulfur, has sulfur in. Not a problem with the product quality...just the packaging.Chinese Hookah Quality Going down. Are they dead yet?Bohemian jars Going extinct faster than cheap gasoline stations. I'm going to miss them. The Bulgarian/Romanian ones just aren't the same.Prices on Materials for manufacturing Tangiers Tobacco. Going up. Might have to increase wholesale soon. A smidge. Glycerine has gone up 70-120% since January. Molasses is up 30%. Prices on new Khalil Maamons Up...for a lower quality product. Quality on new Khalil Maamons Disappointing. The new hoses are predominantly one-piece deigns of old three piece hoses. Some hoses are being made to look like the old high quality leather hoses, but are much, much crappier. More mistakes and damaged hoses, less consistent products. Hose quality down about 75%. Shank material seems lighter and cheaper. Shank quality down about 10%. Jars much uglier. Still nice and flat...but less stylish and more poorly made. Seen color flaking off some KM jars. Jar quality is down about 20%. Headpieces on the three piece hoses that KM is still making also going down in quality (about 80%). New metal headpieces very crummy. Big disappointment. News flash for KM:We\'re willing to pay more...stop following the rest of lemmings over the edge of the cliff.Old KM leather hoses Cheaper, higher quality. Stock up now...if you can.Nour pipes Coming back? Solid brass...but we have concerns about overall failure rate...nice styling on shanks, typical Syrian designs...jars crummier...but new jars are cheap and plentiful. Prices are OK...better value than KM. Might be a bright future ahead for hookah smokers. MZ Better than average quality... but overpriced. Lots better values out there. Nice fit and finish. Some nice three piece leather hoses out there with reasonable price tags attached. Phunnel Rip-Offs MNH\'s...nice quality...high price. Other phunnel rip offs coming, lower quality, same wholesale (for now) as Tangiers...good for them. Lower priced, lower quality phunnels are good for the market...but make sure the decrease in quality is worth the decrease in price. China still uses lead based paint...it would be reasonable to assume they use lead based ceramic glazes too. I will say...instead of copying Tangiers...why don\\\'t you come out with a better design? Take MNH\\\'s lead and try to improve instead of cashing in on other people\\\'s work? No hard feelings though...Tangiers will come out ahead in this. Sucks that the wholesale price is going to go up, but at the same time, for the quality of tobacco, you cant really beat it anywhere. Starbuzz doesnt come close, . Blah. I picked up a couple of Razan hoses that are leak free.In terms of the KM quality. I'm glad I own an older one and a newer one to compare. My older one is really heavy and solid, and the newer one feels very light weight even though it's taller than my older one. THanks for all the updates and input Eric.
