judgeposer
QUOTE (Canon @ Jun 21 2008, 10:58 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>its great to hear from eric. good information and cant wait for tangiers..heres a question. ever think about selling traditional hookah tobacco?I think he's sorta accomplished that through his new Lucid line; while most commercially available tobaccos are washed, he now offers competition to them. Arguably, however, Tangiers offers are more "traditional" smoking experience since it's unwashed, and minimally processed (i.e., no coloring, etc.).Eric - thanks for the update. I'm already starting to see increased popularity with the brass outfits we talked about, and that you mentioned in your post. Of course, this is after I just jumped over the MN bandwagon. I'll commit to the right brass pipe in time; that'll give me nearly enough pipes to start my own lounge!
Victim026
QUOTE (Sonthert @ Jun 19 2008, 07:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Nour pipes Coming back? Solid brass...but we have concerns about overall failure rate...nice styling on shanks, typical Syrian designs...jars crummier...but new jars are cheap and plentiful. Prices are OK...better value than KM. Might be a bright future ahead for hookah smokers.Holy crap the Nour's are coming back? When and Where I wanna buy 3!!!! Victim026
They were some badass Syrian all brass pipes a while back, I've only had the pleasure of smoking out of one and it would slaughter any KM. Dom
it's sad that the KM quality is going down. i had been wanting to get one for a while, now, but now, i don't think i'll get one. maybe if i can buy one that i KNOW is an older one. i've ben looking at the tri-metal and it looks pretty cool. QUOTE (smidge @ Jun 20 2008, 02:15 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>he should beat all the other newer shisha companies that are coming out to a dr.pepper or a rootbeer/rootbeer float flavor FTW!dude, i'm a Dr. Pepper fanatic! i'd smoke the hell out of a Dr. Pepper tobacco if it tasted right. it'll probably just taste like prunes. lol
JillyIsJustKidding
I was thinking about buying a KM when I get another job when school starts. But, once hearing about the quality going down...I'm steering clear. I mean, I know I could try to get an old KM, but the odds of there still being old ones around by that time is very small. I'm thinking about just getting an MZ or a normal 30"+ Egyptian.Thank you Eric for giving HF a heads up! Sonthert
Tangiers Root Beer Sucks. It has no appreciable shelf life.Canon: 15 years ago, ALL hookah tobacco looked like Tangiers (but didn't smoke quite as well)...so what "Traditional" hookah tobacco are you talking about...Tombak? Tangiers is the most traditional hookah tobacco on the market. Actually Lucid is, as far as I know, a completely new idea, a washed molasses based tobacco...washed tobaccos didn't really make an appearance until midway between the honey and corn-syrup phase of Sham Style tobacco. That is, washed tobacco came out significantly later than the market had moved away from molasses-based tobaccos. No Mini-PhunnelsYou know, if you mix new grapefruit with Tangiers lemon you would get a very nice pink lemonade kinda flavor. MAJIKVEGGIE
I tried making shish with corn syrup & it almost ruined my bowl... I had to chissle out the chared tobacco. Edited June 22, 2008 by MAJIKVEGGIE
