What Do You Do About The Stems/sticks In The Tobacco?

Recommended Posts

The abundance of these sticks somehow irritates me when packing a bowl. So now I just pick them all out. Usually just smoke AF and I thought they had quite a bit, but got a few boxes of Layalina, and man there was like 3-4 bowls of sticks, huge long fat sticks everywhere!!!

do you all pick them out??

Supposedly it tends to make the bowl too hot and the tobacco burn easier...I dont put stems in my bowl if there are large but if they are relatively small I leave them

I'm like most others. Pick out the really really big ones, and leave the smaller ones in. Never tried chewing on one though.. anyone think thatd give a buzz? tongue.gif

Little stems don't bother me that much. If I see them I'll just pick them out and discard them, but I don't go looking for them. Got some Nakhla Chocomint and the stems were like toothpicks. That shit annoys me.

take out the large ones, throw them in a cup of hot water... shisha tea. j/k. I usually leave them in unless they are huge, then they are removed.

I heard leaving stems in does make the tobacco easier to burn, but also give more of a buzz... I never had any problem with the burning, but anyone know if it does in fact increase the buzz?

I remember a topic about this sometime around december or january. Quite a few people say that they cut the stems into smaller pieces and then put them in. If I remember correctly JD does this. I think it's the best idea to do so. I personally don't because I don't have the time, but I smoke all of my stems and have never noticed a difference between bowls with stems and bowls without stems. So cut 'em up and smoke 'em. It's economical.
