Did Everyone Else's Km Downstem Come With A Little Bit Of Corrosion On The Inside Pipe?

Recommended Posts

It's not bad but like if you look down the entire hookah it's all nice and smooth, then at the bottom pipe that sits in the downstem, there is a little bit of corrosion and like discoloring on the inside. The outside is nice and shiny.

I'm assuming it's just b/c they are handmade and may not use the best materials and best manufacturing processes.

My buddy said it may be because when they cut the downpipe they use heat, and the heat could have burned or tarnished the tip of the pipe.

Anyone else? Edited by mattarios2

when i got my new KM, on the bottom of the stem were the pipe comes out, had some corrosion. so might be somewhat a processes of the manufacture. I was wondering that also. works like a charm though. biggrin.gif

might be a by-product of attaching the nut to the downstem

So I'm assuming yours is like that too?

Thanks for clearing it up, just wanted to make sure it wasn't just on mine, and that it is common. Because if it was only mine, I'd be returning it.

they say on every website that sells Km's that all egyption hookahs are hand made and arent made to perfection, so yea i'd say every km ive bough has had some sort of corrosion or unsmooth edge, it's pretty common
