Crystal Mya Hookahs

It seems that KM's have been really popular around this place recently. Obviously because they are great hookahs. Has anyone tried any of the higher end Mya hookahs, the ones made with bohemian crystal? I know they are super pricy, but I was just curious how they smoked relative to the mya acrylics or any of the KMs.

I don't think the crystal makes any difference in terms of smoking. Also From what I can see, they are set up the same way as their other hookahs (common chamber or w/e it is) . In my eyes they smoke pretty decent, you can get clouds but you have to suck a bit harder. After having a KM, you can never beat the smoking quality, ease of pull, and purge of a KM compared to a MYA no matter how expensive the mya is.

I must say though, the fit and finish on the MYA's are amazing, some have had problems with the chrome peeling and chipping off, I have never had an issue, and all of their stuff was great quality.

In terms of materials the mya's are quality. In terms of function and usability, the KM's take the cake by far.

crystal is made with lead...someone said in an earlier topic that lead leeches into the water and crystal decanters should be used quickly and not have spirits stored in for a long period of time.

not sure how that effects hookah, but lead is never a good thing

They are very very pretty hookahs, but beyond that and a usually astronomical price tag they smoke just the same as most other Mya's. Some of the crystal bases are very uneven in the glass thickness though and can be very fragile.

I know the thought of lead in the glass you are smoking from isnt comforting, but aren't fancy glasses made out of leaded glass? I don't claim to be an expert, but I wouldn't think the lead would dissolve in the water or anything. Maybe someone knows more about this. Although everyone seems to say KM's smoke better anyways.
