jaredm
Hey guys.So in just over a week I'll be running a shisha event in London. I've got everything planned apart from how to heat coals. We have the option of using QuickLights and I have a stash of 3Kings and Golden Quicklights just-in-case I can't find a good way to light the coconaras I have. What I think would be best is if I can get a UK version of the Walgreens electric coil stove (talked about here). I can't order one from the US since they operate on 110v and I need 240 for the UK.Does anyway have suggestions on what I can use to light coconaras in an ourdoor setting in double-quick time (or have a way of having coals always heating so I can quickly serve up a shisha)?I have tried this induction cooker: http://www.electricshopping.com:80/shop/el...-hob/index.html with an interface disc and I've also tried http://www.electricshopping.com:80/shop/el...h100/index.htmlThe event will be on a roof garden - I have access to a power supply and would prefer an electric solution. I could also use a gas solution but I think for transport it will be harder to move around along with everything else I'll have to carry.
DrShisha
Very Interesting Fella. What i would have done is light up a small bbq using a bbq set and shove the coals in there and keep topping it up. Something like that anyway...all shisha cafes do something like this!

Yes, we would have just used a small BBQ but I guess I wanted a cleaner solution - we'll be operating from 11pm-3am and need an easy way to pack up and take everything away once we're done. Ron Perlman
I was looking for one today. Tried Woolworths (they had gas ones) and three other shops before I found one in a little independent electrical shop.It was £15.99 and has badly translated instructions but it should be ok. I'll let you know how it goes. I found it in the Angel area if that's any good? If not, I'd try Robert Dyas or something.
jaredm
Believe it or not I found it in a duty-free shop in Jordan! It is made by a company called Nikai and came with the correct mains plug and voltage for the UK.Here is a link to the unit on the manufacturers webpage: http://nikai.com/products/home_page12.html - I bought the NEC-3 but I would have preferred the smaller NEC-1 if it were in stock. So far I get only one store selling it when I Google for the NEC-1. I've emailed them asking if it comes with a UK adapter and if so I'll buy it too.
