Kalutika
I just received my shipment today of a small funnel bowl and 250g of Cocoa tangiers. My worry is that the tangiers smells more like molasses than it does cocoa. When the residue dried on my hand a bit it smells more like cocoa. The tobacco has been acclimating for about three hours at this point. Will it smoke the way it should?
hookah hippie
it needs to accumulate longer it should smell similar to the flavor in a number of hours
staygone
Is it Lucid or regular? Regular I acclimate for at least 24 hours regardless of smell. I woldn't worry too much though, it'll correct itself in due time.-QM
Kalutika
It's Lucid.
OC4111
my batch of lucid was good to go right from the start. I did still go ahead and acclimate it overnight. When I woke up my living room smelled like as if there were brownies in the oven
Kalutika
Ya I was under the impression that lucid needed next to no acclimating. It has been really, really humid here these last couple days....This makes me sad I was hoping to try the lucid tonight. If I do try it tonight will it be terrible? Bulldog_916
It wont be terrible. Eric himself said that this iteration needs no acclimation. It isnt groomed the same way as regular tangiers. Smoke it up!
fifthmanstanding
worst case scenario you smoke it unacclimated and it has no flavor to speak of. Otherwise it should be awesome.

hilikus
Thread jack: I'm about to order some f-line cocoa. Anybody know about how long to acclimate that?
Bulldog_916
About 8 hours is the standard for most flavors.
pingywon
my Lucid has always been great - right out the pouch
theotherone31415
I've tried coca, passionfruit, and tasty peach lucid and they were all pretty much smokable immediately. lower nicotine content leads to less acclimation i assume.
Kalutika
I tried it out last night with my new Funnel (awesome by the way). The flavor was not nearly as strong as I was expecting but I am letting it acclimate for a while longer and seeing what that does for it. The smell has gotten much better since yesterday but also less pronounced. The session was amazing. We let it die after about 2 1/2 hours of smoking on it and tried out the other flavors. Still plenty smokable. Could have gone for another hour easily. I am really looking forward to what tangiers can do and I excited for the cocoa at it's full potential. Thanks everyone. Price may limit me from being a true convert but it will definitely be part of my usual stock. Edited June 29, 2008 by Kalutika
