How Many Coals On The Hookah?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I'm new to the forums and this is my first post. I've owned a pretty small hookah for the last few weeks and have been smoking it pretty regularly. It has been a wonderful experience but I can never quite figure out how many coals I need to use. Usually i just set two on the top across from each other and after about 15 minutes I ash them and then move them each 90 degrees around the center of the foil. The smoke is sometimes thick, sometimes not so much. I'm just curious as to wheter my bowl is too small to need two coals or not. Its the smallest size hookah you can buy I'm pretty sure.

Thanks!

if you are gonna use magic coal then good luck with that but if you are gonna use normal coal, i would put three around the top and a small one right in the middle only because i want more smoke. the pieces have to be big in the beginning but once you feel like you need more coal, put four small ones around the top and enjoy

just my two cents

get rid of those gay quick lights and use something you can burn on a stove. Size of the hookah doesn't matter, it's the bowl and shisha. I use 3 japs and place them around 3 corners of the bowl. Well, i really use exoticas and movin to coconara's, which burn A LOT hotter so watch out cause they'l get ya!!

Serously though, buy a small electic stove and buy some sultan japs just to start off with. they're the easiest to learn from before you get to the bigger and harder coals to deal with. also, if the shisha is really juicy, which is a good thing, it's harder to burn.
