Kalutika
I was wondering if there was a point at which you start to hurt your tangiers. I have heard of people leaving it out for 24 hours. It seems logical that you would eventually lose flavor considering how careful we are to keep shisha sealed away to prevent exactly that.
Big Boss
I leave mine out for 24 hours to acclimate. Never had any negative side affects from it. Although I wouldn't set it out for any longer than 24 hours.

Kalutika
So I tried out the tangiers lucid cocoa again after acclimation and I would say it had less flavor than the first time.I have no idea what I am doing wrong. The first smoke I had of it was weak at best but this one had almost no flavor at all.I am using a small funnel with three 3 kings on top. Basic foil... I don't know what else to do. There is no more room an the bowl for more coals. I am getting great clouds. But I could discern no cocoa flavor. There was an extremely slight smell of it in the smoke but nothing else. Is it possible that I got a bad batch? That would be terrible. Please help.

First time I tried Tangiers I had too many coals on the phunnel and I had a experience quite like yours: great smoke but no real flavor. I tried again with less coals and it was fantastic. Stuie
Here is what I do, it's not necessarily what everyone else does but it works for me. Pick and drop tangiers into the phunnel slight pushing the next drop into last drop, not packing it down, packing it laterally. keep adding till it's full and just 1/8 of an inch above the rim. Press it down with the foil. Two circles of holes none over the center. Start with 2 Coconaras then about 30-45 add another. Heat will get you great smoke but it might kill the flavor. That's what I am thinking is happening.
liquidglass
well i'm still new to tangiers, only had about 350 g's so far. So I have a question. I let it acclimate when I first get it, but I also make sure it's "acclimated" before I smoke it each time. Is that too much? So basically is it a one time acclimation or every time. It seems stupid, but I am curious.
OC4111
Some people acclimate their tangier for about 30 min or so before they smoke, so it's not unheard of.

Kalutika
I will try with two 3 kings. I think I did that but I will try again. And I will try with warm temperature water int he base. Both times I have tried it has been with iced or very chilled. I have read that this can make a difference. Wish me luck guys.
