fifthmanstanding
The scalli mod. I know it's an inverted cap type of thing that fits over the funnel part of a funnel bowl, something to do with smoking non tangiers shisha. But I'm left wondering, what is it's conceptual use?If the funnel of the bowl comes up you don't have to worry about losing juice from any shisha, if it's heat regulatory why not take off a coal or put one on?So...conceptually what does it do, how and why? esheg4ever23
Basically from what I've heard, it takes up more space in the bowl so it allows you to use less shisha, and also it lets the air travel through the bottom of the phunnel so that it goes through all the juice that dripped down, thus giving more taste. staygone
The original intentions of the mod was to direct air flow through the tobacco. People soon found out they can save shisha by replacing mass with other mass.Phunnel bowls don't let the juices run down through the stem. Hence, a longer smoke.Heat management can also mean shifting the coals around the bowl. -QM
indian_villager
It displaces some area that would otherwise be occupied by shisha. Also it redirects the hot air through the shisha as opposed to just above it. Your juices will stay put unless you are smoking something intensely moist like fantasia. Then you will lose a bit of juice but not enough to matter.
