SimplexCoda Posted July 3, 2008 Share Posted July 3, 2008 So i got some nakhla out of a trade and i was wanting any tips to make it smoke right, if its different from any other tobacco, also it looks way drier than most tobaccos, so i dont think it will work in a superchief, what do you guys think? ryno Posted July 3, 2008 Share Posted July 3, 2008 No experience with it in a supercheif, but I usually use 1.5 3K ql with Nakhla in a mod bowl and don't have problems. If you need to make it wetter, you can add honey to it, I do alot of times to make it smoke longer. I know JD adds honey and glycerin. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MrMoodz Posted July 3, 2008 Share Posted July 3, 2008 Most Nakhla tend to be on the dry/sticky side vs. wet and juicy. I get Nakhla to smoke best out of a classic or large egyptian bowl. Nakhla does OK with heat. If I'm using QL's, I use 2 halves. If I'm using Nour finger coals, I just 3 small pieces or 2 medium sized pieces. Codename067 Posted July 3, 2008 Share Posted July 3, 2008 The best way to smoke Nakhla is through you standard Egyptian bowl.And thats the only way to smoke Nakhla.If you want to smoke it through your super-cheif, get some glycerin and mix it with the tobacco then pack it in there and try! Stuie Posted July 3, 2008 Share Posted July 3, 2008 I smoke naklha all the time just got finished with a bowl of mixed fruit in my phunnel. I have no problem in a phunnel, but normally I use a Hemi Bowl for nakhla, In a phunnel takes a little more care with heat management. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It will hit better through a Phunnel but its a little tricker.On the other hand, with the traditional bowl, just pack it, put some coals, and boom! Bulldog_916 Posted July 3, 2008 Share Posted July 3, 2008 More heat than normal tobacco. This stuff can take some punishment. I usually use 2 hot burning coals on an Egyptian bowl. Flavor-wise, nakhla is some of the most under-rated out there. It gives AW a run for its money and can wipe the floor with some in the buzz department. Codename067 Posted July 3, 2008 Share Posted July 3, 2008 I dont know about it being under-rated. Its a good smoke, not the best, but still a good smoke. The only problem I have with Nakhla is that some of their flavors are dull, yet too much at the same time. Its not for everyone, thats for sure.
