For Those That Were In The Chat At The Time...

It was a few weeks back, I know Snoopy was in there and I forget who else, but we were talking about ghost and our experiences with them, and I told them about our old bowling alley that we've had several encounters with a ghost there, and they said I should submit it to Ghost Hunters on Sci-Fi, so I did. If you see an episode about a bowling alley called Key Lanes in Fort Wayne, IN, thats my place, and I hope to be able to go with them on the hunt.

That would be pretty hardcore to have the guys from Ghost Hunters come around. I'm a fan of the show and have been watching it since its debut. Hell, I even ordered their book today. I won't say that I've had encounters with "ghosts" but I've been in situations where all I could say was "WTF was that?" and "did you see that, too?" What sort of stuff goes on at the bowling alley?

I'm waiting for an an email back from them to see if they will investigate it.

As for the experiences, I'll tell a few of the stories...

It was the first day we had owned the place, and my family (me, bro, mom and dad) were in there on a Saturday morning. My mom was behind the front counter in her office and me and my brother were up front at the counter doing something I dont remember. My dad was in the back, and there is a creaky rickety catwalk that creaks whenever someone walks on it. So I'm sitting up front when I think hear footsteps on the catwalk, and at that time, my dad comes running up front saying he heard footsteps, but looked out and saw no one walking there. Now we were the only four in the place, and my dad was the only one in the back... creppy nonetheless

Another time we were down in the bar area and theres a glass door that separated it from the bowling lanes. My dad is telling some friends about how there is a ghost here and you can hear footsteps (which would happen alot actually) and the ppl dont believe my dad, and at that point the door starts to close and my dad looks over and says, "It's alright Casper come on in." The door opens and closes as if someone walked in the bar... yes we named the ghost Casper cause he was always friendly tongue.gif

Tim, who worked there, and is a good friend of mine was closing up one night and a strobe light down by the pins turns on, and thats enough to freak him out, cause the switch is on the light, and he's the only person there. So he goes down to turn it off, and realizes that its unplugged, and it doesnt run on batteries. So he just ran back up front and left lol.

I was working one day, only me up at the counter, and the cook down in the kitchen, and I kept hearing the footsteps, and it actually got annoying, so I yelled out, "Allright damnit! Casper if you're there, just make some noise, knock over some pins or something!" And that was followed by a very large crash, so I go in the back and I see around 20 pins that were on a shelf knocked over all over the place. I walk (well, run) back up front and the cook is asking what the crash was, and I told her, and she said it wouldn't be the first time the ghost has done something like that.

And lastly, I had alot of friends who didnt believe in the ghost, so I'd take them in there when were closed and just yell for the ghost to walk acorss the back so we can hear, and sure enough we would hear footsteps.

Its odd how well that ghost would listen. When I would take friends in there when we were closed, i had to turn off the alarm, so I know we were the only people in that place.

Yeah bud, I was in that chat to, it'd be awesome to see them come, you'd have to youtube it for us.

I've got some ghost stories, like I had told you before, but I'd prefer not to put my gparents through the ghost hunters raiding their house lol.

I remember that night in chat. We all told our stories. It would be really cool to see thew bowling alley on TV and see whats up there. Sounds like you have some Jinn (spirits so to say) running around there!!

I've never really had many personal experiences, but my wife had gone ghost hunting plenty of times and has seen and heard a lot shit. My only real experience I had was when I was with her and some of her friends. We went to this abandoned hotel in Santa Cruz, CA called the Rispin Mansion. We didn't see anything, but we did her the sounds of chains, like they were dragging. My wife said she had been to this place before and heard these same chains for much longer than I heard them. Spooky nonetheless.

But yea, TAPS on ghost hunters is the only show of its kind I'll actually believe. They have gone to places said to be haunted, pretty much found nothing and proved people's stories false. So when they do see something it's hellof freaky.
