Can Golden Ql's And Ice Rob That Much Flavor?

I have recently received the 41'' Khalil Mamoon from thehookah.com and have yet to get a really great smoke out of it! Im just seeking your opinions.

first off I am using the standard egyptian bowl, and have tried romman, nakhlah, sb, and AF and have all had not a lot of flavor!

I do use ice in the base.. ( it has never effected the taste but i know cold can rob flavor)

heat management is good nice white thick clouds, no harshness.

and I dont have any major airleaks that I know of.. and Im not underpacking by bowls..

so my main question comes down to the coals, can golden quicklights rob shisha of its flavor? i have used them for years and have never had a problem, but now all the sudden i do!

I never tried those Quicklites, what I know is that every quicklight has a distinct 'flavor' to it.

Maybe you got a bad batch of the quicklites? Try Natural Coal and see if its the quicklites or your setup that might be causing your problem.

i have been really interested in using the mesquite like you do or the coco's.... golden QL's dont add flavor, im just wondering if they can take it..

i switch for QL to coco naras big difference, i can never go back to QLs.

I used to always use golden qls and ice never had a problem losing flavor
