n0waybak
Well a friend and i decided that we should part with our cheep-o hookah, and we decided that we were going to build our own. Only problem is that him and i only have been into the hookah scene for about a month now, and know pretty much nothing when it comes to building our own. So, 2 days ago we split the cost of a base, and now we need to find a stem to fit it. The opening at the top has a diameter of about 1.75 inches (4.5cm). How do i know which stem will provide a nice secure fit? I have been looking at this one.. http://www.hookahcompany.com/mya_hookah_stem_2244_prd1.htm but it says that i have to have a size 26 gasket or larger..how do i know what gasket size mine takes?Lastly, i would love to see some recommended stems which i should consider buying. Thanks in advance! hookah hippie
You should call the company and have them measure the circumference and then ask them to find a gasket that would fit with your particular base
j3oomerang
which base did you get? if its popular some one can tell you which stem they used. the only problem would be if its too big, if its too small you can use a bigger gasket. does the site you bought the base have stems as well? also you can take the base to a local hookah vendor and try some fits. Codename067
I would buy a no name Egyptian stem [If you can find one] rather than this Mya stem you have posted. Buy a couple no name Egyptian stems for less than that.
