Tangiers In Km Ice

Recommended Posts

I asked about this in the chat, so this may be a repeat for some of you.

I wondered whether anyone ever smoked Tangiers in a KM Ice. If so, have you experienced that notorious throat tingle?

On a previous smoke session, I did...

I suspect that the ice chamber caused condensation in the stem of the pipe (which would normally not cause any difference in the session were I not smoking Tangiers). I remember Eric explaining how excessive moisture in a set up is what causes the tingle. That moisture can be introduced by not acclimating properly too, for instance. In my case, I believe the moisture came in the form of condensation in the pipe from the ice-filled ice chamber.

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

It's of little consequence to my setup since I rarely use ice, and not ever with Tangiers. I just wondered what could explain the tingle I experienced during that session. My pipe is clean, it was a fresh bowl, and I had acclimated the tobacco (certainly well enough that I could smoke it without ice and without experiencing that throat tingle).

Just wondering.

Do not use ice with Tangiers. As stated by racemyghost, Eric says no ice with Tangiers.

wellsir, from a scientific standpoint, if you have ice in the chiller and the base or just the base,, or just the chiller...
however you do it with ice, you have less moisture in the smoke, because the colder the air is, the less water vapor it can support.
HOWEVER and this is a big however, the fact that the air runs through water, litterally through the water it's going to pick up as much moisture as possible, so.....
i don't know what my point is.
but you guys catch the drift.
