How To Know Your Desperate For Hookah

So I'm visiting my parents in a rather small town that not only has no hookah lounges, but has hardly heard of the thing -- naturally there's no local place to buy shisha and it will be a couple days before any arrives from ordering online.
So what do I do?:

I go digging through an old two inch bowl picking out pieces of tobacco that seem fairly unburned and salvage them to pack into a smaller one inch bowl (if that wasn't bad enough, it's a bowl of licorice shisha I bought because of its cheapness).

Will it be worth it? ...I'll know in five minutes when the coal on the stove is red.

On trips where I don't have a hookah I just get me a Swisher Sweet.

Never as good as the hookah though.

well the one time I really wanted to smoke and didn't have a hookah, but had access to coals and shisha (I had some coals stashed for emergency in the car and some shisha I brought for a friend to check out...)
...I made one that worked half decently until the bottle and downstem melted. I used a two liter pop bottle(coca cola to be exact). Made a phunnel completely outta foil(didn't look very attractive)...connected to emptied pens for downstem that were coated with foil for durability, then a few hollowed pens connected as a hose....the thing really looked like an nh pipe, but it worked for a lil while for the hookah fiend.

and when no shisha and no coals...get some tobacco, glycerin, and honey and make a rough smoke to hold ya...if ya want to, add flavor. For coals, cmon...start a fire

I really wanted to smoke...I was gonna be drinkin that night and didn't feel like killing two packs of smokes(what I tend to do when I'm gettin hammered)

You know you're desperate for hookah when you start grinding your teeth whenever you see a hose, tobacco in any form, or a bowl.

if you were really desperate you could always shred some fruit, throw in some honey and some glycerine, that'll give you a decent smoke.

All the content is ready for the next issue...we've just had major setbacks working with our web design. If anyone does web design and wants to help out...

BTW thanks for that article you posted, I always like to see the errored-hookah studies get egg on their face.

OH, BTW.......the answer to my question was yes....it was totally worth it.
