Click
What stem is on this KM. It looks like a new style. Never have seen a stem like this one. Edit: Realize it would help if I had a link: http://www.hookahcompany.com/shamaadan_kha...h_3294_prd1.htm Edited July 12, 2008 by click
Bulldog_916
It's a full nickel plated brass stem. Might be new, but I doubt it. KM has a lot of styles, we just see relatively few of them here in the US market.
ilikemyusername
someone recently posted about this pipe, but it was brass, they wanted to know if it was legit.
Snoopy1966
Looks pretty cool...If I had the money I would buy one!!
MrMoodz
I own a smaller version of that KM pipe and the quality is better than the newer "Black Pear" style KM that I have. I refer to it as my heavy duty KM... I wouldn't pay as much as HC is asking, but know that the pipe will never fail you and is heavy enough to be used as a weapon and even kill a man......!! If you can find that pipe for cheaper you need to get it!!!Here're some pics of that style of pipe I have.(It's the one to the left of the KM Black Pear)Some additional pics. Codename067
Nice find..though the stem looks a little skinny compared to the huge base.and nice pics Moodz
Click
Yeah I agree it's pretty expensive mostly because of the crystal vase. I just really like the vase that it has like the Aqua Zakiy.
hookah hippie
ahh another KM I like the look of it but I think my next hookah is going to be a triple pear or a nour
Stuie
Nice looking hookah, the stem is not quiet my cup of tea, but it looks like a good quality KM
liquidglass
Sweet that's MY STEM, the one I posted about a few months back asking about if it was a KM and we deemed it the KM majestic. But it's def. brass inner stem.Plus I was able to pick up mine for a third of that price Here's a pic, it's not a great one, but you can see what I mean. Canon
150 is a steep price. if it had a normal glass base i bet it would be 100ish. (probably 90-100)
ronald_dooley
Since I just ordered a 39" KM ice chamber from gothookahs, I'm not in the market for a new one, but I will say this:That hookah is a gem, and it is not too expensive for the quality. A solid brass hookah with a Czech hand-cut crystal base? In fact, that is not even a hookah... no siree. It is a piece of art, a fusion of culture, tradition, and proud hand-craftsmanship. It is the combined effort of artisans who ply a trade that goes back centuries: crystalwork in the Czech republic, and metalwork in Egypt.$150 is a small price to pay for something so beautiful, so solid, so rich in history/tradition, and so well-crafted of premium ingredients that you could pass it on to your great-great-great-great-grandchildren with just a little cleaning and care every once in a while. On top of that, I'll bet you that they won't be making hookahs like this in a few years. I'll bet in a few years, all they'll be making is steel hookahs with simple glass bases. Mark my words. If you want a "real" hookah made of high-quality ingredients, this may be one of your last chances to get one. $150 is a steal, in my opinion... and in fact, I may buy one just for the hell of it.- Ronald
Scoop
a steal? hardly.its a regular mass produced KM stem thats all over the smaller middle eastern markets for much less.with a bohemian vase that can be bought separately from HC.
MrMoodz
Personally I can't ever see myself paying over $100.00 for a hookah. The KM stem in the pics above I picked up for $10.00 brand new from a local shop. The KM "Black Pear" I bought was $71.00.
ronald_dooley
Well, I'm putting my money where my mouth is. I just ordered this hookah. I don't want to pass up the opportunity to own a solid brass KM hookah with a high quality Czech glass base. One of the reasons why I decided to buy this hookah today is because my new KM came in the mail today. It was light and flimsy, looked like it was welded together by a blind person, and it was RUSTED ALL OVER! Needless to say, I'm sending that piece of shit back to the shipper. I am so dissapointed, you cannot believe it... "Stainless steel" my ass. I guess you get what you pay for, gents. No more cheaping out on my favorite hobby. Now I'm paying good money for (hopefully) good quality. I can't wait for my baby to get here. I'll post pics and reviews when she gets in. I'm excited. - Ronald

But my amoura is gorgeous, not heavy, but not light, no rust, good quality, looks bea-utiful. Cheaper ones are somewhat cheap I will agree with you, but the taller ones that are a few more bucks are gorgeous. So which KM are you talking about exactly and where did you buy it? But yeah, it was light, flimsy, crappy welding... really rough looking, actually... like a total amateur job. I sincerely doubt the claim of it being constructed of high-quality "stainless steel." I think it wasn't worth 20 bucks, nevermind close to 100.In addition, the base glass looked like crap, too. Lots of bubbles in the glass and it didn't even sit stable on a flat surface. It wobbled.So... I hope this Shamadaan is worth the extra price. I am guessing that a solid brass KM with a high-quality Czech glass base will satisfy my quality needs... especially after the shock I received today at the craptacular low quality of the KM I got in the mail. Czech glass bases are more expensive because they are made with high borosilicate content that is denser and more durable than standard glass. We'll see. I'll post pics and reviews when I get it.- Ronald

ronald_dooley
Also, hookahcompany informed that they don't have many of these, so if you want a solid brass KM, you might want to grab this one. You might be able to talk down the price by asking for a different base. That Czech crystal base is definitely a part of the $150 price.I want it, though, so I'm keeping it on. Review to come...- Ronald
