Hi, im new to the forum and have a couple of questions... (Sorry about the topic)

I am planning to buy the Nakhla Sweet Melon tobacco but i am concerned about the package at my local retailer... (250g)

The package at my local retailer looks like this:

While the picture on Nakhlas website looks like this:

Is it genuine?

I am also wondering whether there are certain things to look out for to make sure that the tobacco is genuine.

Exported quiality ( blue yellow white safety strip) is better than eqyptian quiality (red safety strip) right?

Thank you Edited by Loggan

Yeah, Nakhla is confusing. El Nakhla, Nakhla, Fakhfina, El Basha, Mizo... why? beats me. I'd say buy it if the price is right. Just check the production date. Not impossible that it's an old box or something.

BTW: I think you win the prize for having the longest thread title. laugh.gif Edited by AKammenzind

I accidental pasted the thread into the topic smile.gif
The price is 40 SEK which is aprox 6.5$

Will the tobacco be bad if it's old? I mean I supposed it's sealed tight in a foil bag so it should be alright, right?

the first box is a 50g box. The second is probably a 250g

Edit: Looking at the second pic again it looks more like a 50g also, just a different angle.

I dont know what the sizes are, jsut got them from google...
I am talking about the front picture.

May be a NEW box actually. I have seen some Nakhla stuff in those boxes.

El Nakhla,Nakhla, and al Basha are all the same company.

good for about 2 years minimum after production date.

I am kinda new to hookahs but still know most of the tricks you have to know...
But a thing that makes me confused is "Acclimation"

So if i put 25g of tobacco to "breathe" will it smoke better?
I am referring to nakhla tobacco.

Nakhla doesn't need to be acclimated to smoke well, it's mostly a Tangier's thing... With nakhla just stick it in the bowl and watch your heat managment and you should be good to go.

I don't know if I would bother accumulating only 50 grams of tobacco seems like a long time to wait for a small amount of tobacco

The tobacco was Local Egyptian Quality...
I weighed it in the store and it was at 200g!!!
they also had Mango Local Egyptian Quality which was 150g.

But is 200g of Local Egyptian Nakhla Sweet Lemon worth 6.5$?

give or take yes. I pay 4.99 for 250g of nakhla at a local shop (the only shop in driving distance and all they carry is 3K coals and nakhla) And some people have reported paying over 10 for 250g of nakhla, so 200g for 6.50 is not bad at all.
