peterjmag
I just got my first Razan, and I'm curious as to how I should wash it, specifically how I should wash it without getting water all over the sweatband-type fabric on both ends of the hose. To start cleaning out the plastic taste, I just used a measuring cup with hot water, but is there a better way to do it? How many times do you run water through the hose before you consider it clean? And I know you can use vinegar or lemon juice to help get rid of the initial taste, but do you use it every time afterwards? Thanks!

Use a funnel to poor the water in w/o spilling on the fabric. I usually run water/ w/e u are using through the hose until it doesn't smell anymore, then you know it's clean. I just usually use either a little bit of cheap vodka, some lemon juice, or hot water. The only time i use something other than water is when it really smells alot. Kalutika
DO NOT USE HOT WATER. It will loosen and hurt the glue that hold the hose together.Water and lemon juice will help cut the taste. After that it's just a matter of smoking it out.I wash whenever I feel I can taste an old flavor for more than the first few pulls of the current bowl. Don't worry about the "sweatbands." You should be more worried about the felt covering. Keep that dry and use a large plastic funnel like mattarios said. ilikemyusername
i don't give a damn if the sweatband thingy's get wet, they don't hold water in them long, i dry mine by weapping a towel around them and giving a good squeeze.other than that, i just use water if i ever run into an issue of flavor getting stuck in it i'll use an incredibly mild bleach solution, and i'll be carefyl not to get it anywhere it shouldn't go. kvtaco17
you could just use everclear... it'll get any smell out (even the brand new plastic smell) without any issue
ronald_dooley
I have had my Nammor for a month now, and I haven't cleaned it yet. I will clean it if and when it smells like it needs a cleaning.
greeknate88
I just started using my nammor about a week ago. When it came it had that plastic taste/smell. I used a cup, because I didn't have a funnel, to run some warm water through the hose. I probably rinsed it maybe 2-3 times, kinda swished it around and let it come out the other side. After that the smell was mostly gone. A little bit of gunk came out, so I'd highly recommend washing it before using it. The plastic taste went away after the first session. And don't really worry about getting those decorative fuzzy ball things wet. They don't retain that much water and dry rather quickly. And as stated, a funnel solves a lot of that problem.
