uglycustoomer
so ya, i just got my shipment of cocoa, apple, strawberry and Horchata. i opened up the strawberry to expect a really good smell, and i'm not even lying, it smelled like ash, and tasted like charcoal. I've been smoking for 2 years now and i know how to setup everything like an ace. The apple tastes like charcoal too. The other's, Horchata and cocoa, are decent, but i would expect the flavor to be overpowering like the smell. Any else having problems with the lucid line? SuburbanSmoker
ive never had a bad batch of tangiers...so what your saying is very odd. i dont see how it could smell like ash/coal.
SimplexCoda
You know your supposed to acclimate tangiers right? I know that lucid is supposed to take less acclimation than regular line, but its still supposed to happen.Where did you get it from? NickReppinThe909
yea set the lucid out for about 2-3 hours
OC4111
need to acclimate. I acclimated my lucid cocoa for about 3-4hrs and my living room smelled like as if there there were fresh brownies in the oven.

mushrat
how much coal are you using. Tangiers takes a VERY low heat level.
vin13
Sounds similar to my Lucid experiences. I've tried watermelon and strawberry, both of which wouldn't taste like anything at all despite acclimating them to hell and back. Horchata is just about the only flavor I've gotten to taste so far and it was delicious. I'm sticking to AF because I can't get it right, and frankly its not worth it if it takes more than what I'm already doing.
uglycustoomer
ya, i cut one bar of exotica into 4 small pieces. For tangiers, i just use 2 exotica's from the bar. i acclimated the strawberry for 3 hours, doing another 2 hours now and it still smells notttthing like strawberry; still smells like cigarette ash.QUOTE (mushrat @ Jul 15 2008, 05:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>how much coal are you using. SmokinMoose
I had no problems with Blue Gum Ball. But With Strawberry and Tasty Peach after 3 days of acclimatizing they still smell like soya sauce.

uglycustoomer
ya, i acclimated the strawberry for another 6 hours and the smell is horrible, nothing close or resembling strawberry.QUOTE (SmokinMoose @ Jul 15 2008, 11:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I had no problems with Blue Gum Ball. Scoop
i think the tobacco goes into humidity shock for some people, and simply does not come back to normal, ive personally never had such problems with tangiers, however i never have it shipped to me
esheg4ever23
I have no problem with humidity shocks and all that bullshit mainly because HookahCompany is only 2 hours away from me. Edited July 17, 2008 by esheg4ever23
