mamajosie
I am wondering if when you store it in a lock and lock or other container, do you spread out or "loosen up" the shisha at all or leave it dense? There is room in the container to fluff it out a bit but I didn't know what was best. Thanks - Josie

With Tangiers, I put them in tupperwear-like boxes and the like. As long as the storage device is air-tight, you should be ok.
ryno
I'm with Boss, AF, HH, HF, Fantasia I leave in their tubs. Nakhla, Al Waha, and Tanigers I put in glad containers, and I do try to keep the shisha spread out some, but always stir it up before I pack a bowl
Codename067
If it comes in some sort of tub, I keep it in there. If not, I use my left over AF Mint tubs and store my flavors in there and write the name of the flavor on the green cap of the tubs...I got over 10 AF Mint tubs that are ready to get stocked up with other flavors. I keep my spare tubs.

liquidglass
Well before AF started coming in tubs and even now with starbuzz, nakhla I have metal locking lid containers that i line with plastic wrap and they seal air tight. $3 at big lots. Stuie
For Larger amounts of stuff and Tangiers I use Lock and Lock. I fluff it up. Like Nakhla comes out like a block and I break it up and fluff it up in the box. Label it and through it in the hookah closet.
AzZ
I spread it out and loosen it up. When the shisha is just a big lump I break it up and fluff it a bit.

Giant Ninja Robot
I'm thinking that if you sealed the tins/tubs with electrical tape is would be slightly messy but at least would give you an airtight seal. That'a what I'm gonna start doing.
Stuie
Also when I don't use lock and lock like on 50g boxes of shisha or even 250g tins. I put it all in ziplocks and then place them back in the original box. SO much easier to sort through!

It seals it nicely but it doesnt look the best because I used my blue tape.
srawas89
yea air tight containers are fine if they dont come in their own tubs. Like everyone else I keep the shisha in the tubs they came in (that is if they come in tubs). However I have a question for those who place it in tubs...do you take it out of the bag and place it into the tub?
AKammenzind
I keep my Nakhla in the containers and just toss it in a ziploc. For wetter shisha not in tubs I just use Mason Jars. They're cheap, heavy duty, and it's hard to get more air-tight.

Now i use Glad little tupperware style tubs. I get like 6 of them for 3-4 bucks, they are air tight, wont leak, and stackable.I press the shisha down tight so as much as possible is in the juice. When it comes time to pack a bowl you just stir it up.

I dont think that the bag would do any good inside a sealed tub.
TizaNabi
all the ideas below are good. If you have lots of different flavours, and a container sits for a while, keep in mind that the liquid glycerine drips some, or lots depending on %.Mix the batch up before you load your new bowl.
