im currently selling my car and i am trying to decide if i should buy another car or get my own boat so i dont have to use my dads or uncles. i have a tacoma and a bike so if i get the boat transport wont be a problem BUT i can only have 2 other people in the tacoma because it only has 1 bench seat.

for boats im looking in the 18-26 foot range. 2000 and newer only with a 3.5L or 3.0L, that can be a multi purpose boat (fishing, towing and partying at the river). i am going to look at most of these within the next week. if you have owned any of these boats please leave some feedback on them

Well if money is not a problem, i would say most def get a boat. If money is tight i would say get the car. Gas for boats is a bitch cause its a pain in the ass to fill up at a gas station, and on lakes gas is usually upwards of 2.50 more a gallon then at the gas stations due to saftey regulations of storing gas on water.

Boats are just badass

I'd say go with the boat, because I love boats (family has 2).
The biggest factor would be do you have a reliable car that can be used to to haul the boat and to get around town? Also boats get crappy gas mileage, So are you going to be able to pay for gas?

Remember:
Definition of Boat: Hole in the water that you throw money into.

The happiest day for a boat owner is the day he buys the boat, and the day he sells it.

yea i have a brand new tacoma and gas isnt a problem because when we take my dads boat out we all chip in for gas but my buddies are sick of paying $100+ each time we take the boat out and we have had only very few minor issues with all the boats we have owned so i dont know how much truth there is to either of those sayings lol
