mattarios2
why couldn't you just shine it up real nice w/ brasso or something, and then just clear coat the entire stem so you don't have to shine it up anymore?Would it not work? What do you guys think? kvtaco17
brasso would work very well, as far a clear goes it depends on what you use... automotive clear would work, you just have to worry about chipping it then

Bulldog_916
I wouldnt put any acrylic or clear coat on it because it can be easily abrased and scratched. The metal being harder than the stuff around it protects it from the most part from abrasions and scratches.

ilikemyusername
stay away from putting clear on it, it sounds good now, but when it starts getting lame you're gonna have a hard time getting it off.also, clearcoat goes over paint, not metal, no telling what would happen, it may even still get tarnishy and there wont be an easy way of getting it polished up with clear on it. what i would do, is get the trimetal and only polish it once a year or less, that way everytime i polish it its like getting a new hookah!from dull to SHINE!
