ronald_dooley
I got my Shaamadan (Shaamadan at Hookah Company) from FedEx today. Here are a few pics. I haven't had a chance to smoke it yet, but I'll do that when I get back from the gym tonight. The stem is definitely quality all brass. You could use it as a weapon if you wanted to... very solid and nice.[attachment=1834:set_up.JPG][attachment=1829:setup_standing.JPG]But what really impresses me are the base and the hose. Look at this base; it is quality, pure and simple. You can see from the pics the smoothness of the glass: no air bubbles, and it sits stable on a flat surface. The detail work is beautiful, too. The pic of the opening shows how thick the glass is.[attachment=1830:base_sticker.JPG][attachment=1832:base_detail.JPG][attachment=1831:base_top.JPG]to be continued... ronald_dooley
... continuedThe hose is very nice, too. I called HC to ask what kind of hose comes with this hookah, and they told me that it was a "special" edition KM hose that comes with the Shaamadan. It sure is special; look how thick the gauge is: it's even thicker than a Nammor (purple hose in pic). I didn't know that KM made hoses this wide. For extra comparison, I'm including a pic next to a standard MYA hose. It's a beautiful blue leather with rainbow thread. Just look at the pics.[attachment=1835:hose_handle.JPG][attachment=1837:hose_compareNammor.JPG][attachment=1838:hose_compareMya.JPG] I'll review it in action tonight. payce, Ronald

ronald_dooley
New smoke review:Today, I had a nice bowl of AF Watermelon. I went through 3 cocos and 1 3k. Very nice the whole time. I can only compare the experience against my MYA QT, and I can say that it's a much nicer experience.I like how heavy and solid it is. The thick stem (nickel-plated brass) and bohemian glass base filled with water are seriously heavy. You'd have to want to knock it over... or some drunk dumbass would have to kick it over, but I wouldn't let such an individual within 100 yds of my new baby. When I smoke my QT, I have to put it on a table and the Mya tray just barely clears the phunnel bowl. I like being able to rest the base on the floor and to be able to rest the tongs and hose on the stem. I also like the wide KM tray that catches anything that falls off the bowl. liquidglass
I know I keep harping on it, but I love that your stem looks just like my 'surprise' KM and I LOVE it to death, actually smoking some Tangiers Orange Soda out of it right now.I'm def. not trying to degrade your new KM though, it looks fucking awesome, especially that kick ass base it's got. Congrats man I'm happy for you. You just got points in my book for it.

Congrats man I'm happy for you. You just got points in my book for it. Yeah, under the previous Shaamadan thread, I saw that several other people had similar stems. It's a nice one indeed, and I'm glad other people enjoy it. I really like the base, too. I can tell that a lot more effort went into making it than the standard KM bases. I think it's worth every penny. I just am scared of dropping it one day while carrying it from my living room to the sink to empty.
