jaredm
Hey guys,For the past few weekends we've been holding shisha evenings in a London club using Meduse pipes. I thought I'd attach some pics for everyone to see Aside from some logistical problems the evenings have gone down really well and soon we'll be running them in other places. Oh yea, and so far we've had 3 broken glass mouth pieces and 1 broken corpus Comments/Questions/Feedback is all welcome.

jaredm
QUOTE (hookah hippie @ Jul 21 2008, 06:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>How do they smoke??Technically, they don't 'smoke' since the bowl and screen are designed to allow the glycerine tobacco mixture to vaporise without burning any tobacco (all shishas vapourise, Meduse heads just make it easy to ensure only vaporisation is happening). The end result is really smooth vapour. Of course, if you can still setup the bowl wrong and you'll get smoke, its just harder to mess it up with these bowls. However, to answer your question, they're fantastic. We've had lots of praise and no complaints (well excluding the people who didn't like the price). While a lot of the money on these shishas is down to the design, an equal amount goes towards a great smoking experience and Meduse spend lots of R&D capital experimenting with ways to improve the flavour, smoothness and thickness of the vapour. greeknate88
I've been looking at these, and I don't care that ppl say they are overpriced, they are extremely sexy. Anyone know how much the sniper line is?, or even how they smoke?

They smoke well, better than most regular shishas I've tried but the glass Meudse pipes would be my choice if I portability wasn't a concern. I reviewed a Mini Sniper on here last year, you should be able to find the post using the search. For pricing, there are a couple of places selling Snipers online, Google will be your friend. If you're feeling flush you can go for one of the limited edition golden ones:

Maybe it was a tad presumptuous that Medusa's are better than other hookahs, but other than that I don't see a problem with what Jaredm said. Tom1
It simply sounds like you're talking down to people. This is a HOOKAH forum, we aren't clueless when it comes to hookahs. Are you affiliated with meduse, or do you just like them?
Johnny_D
Well, I can confir that jaredm is not affiliated with Medusa. I think your reading more into it than is necessary.

This is a HOOKAH forum, we aren't clueless when it comes to hookahs. Are you affiliated with meduse, or do you just like them?Ummm, sorry but I was not talking down to anybody. I would ask that you take my views and opinions without offence, as they were intended. My point was that Meduse heads are better designed than most other heads I've come across and they've made it really easy to get the bowl to be entirely vapour with absolutely no smoke; not many other heads can do that - even the best I've seen start off a little coarse. That doesn't mean Meduse heads are THE best; I've not tried every bowl on the market. I don't get get the bit about people being clueless, I certainly never intended that.As I mentioned in my review of the Mini Sniper, I am discussing ways to become a local distributor for Meduse but I'm not otherwise affiliated with them. And yes, I like them a lot - I had 3 traditional shishas over 4 years before I came across and bought my first Meduse and after using it a few times I wanted to get permission to sell them in the UK because I was so convinced in them.
