Yet Another Diffuser Thread

Recommended Posts

I tried my diffuser with my new KM setup today. The setup is the following: KM Shaamadan, small phunnel bowl, nammor hose. For control purposes, I smoked the exact same thing I smoked yesterday: AF Watermelon packed per the Voski video.

You get two diffusers with the Heba package, a small one and a large one. Only the large diffuser would fit over the hex nut at the end of the KM stem. It was a tight fit, but I soaked the end in hot water to get it flex over the nut... yeah, go ahead and turn that into a perverted quote.

I liked it. It definitely made the session a bit quiter, but not "silent" as some people have reported. It did a good job of reducing the vibrations that cause your coals to dance around on top of the foil. As for smoke thickness, I didn't measure it scientifically, but it seemed to indeed help. Overall, I think it's worth throwing into an order from hookah-shisha for only $10 more. I think I will be using it again.

use mine when ever i can only downside to the Mya Obelisk the neck of the base narrows where the larger one won't fit down and the small is way to small to fit on the downstem...haven't made the time to make a homemade one yet.

I used to have the heba. I liked it, but i just wanted to see if i could do better. So i went to the hardware store and got 3 of the little plastic mesh filters that go in the heads of automatic sprinklers. Basically i fashioned them into a diffuser based off the same concept as the heba. I personally liked my homemade one much better. It made the smoke much smoother than the heba for a fraction of the price. But thats all just personal opinion. I would say overall diffusers are worth a try.

I would say the heba is a must have for smaller hookahs such as the qt because the problem of water in the hose is much more prevalent so if you throw this little wonder on there isnt much turbulence in the water and you dont have to worry about rust on your hits in the future.
