andretheesexy
Well today i had a hookah sesh with my friends. I have a 3 hose hookah chinese built according to codename067 i dont know his name here on hookah domain. well anyways, sometimes 1 or 2 of the hoses will get really hard to draw. it seems like theres something clogged inside it but theres not because i take the hose out and blow on it and nothing comes out. but it is like almost impossible to draw when it gets like that. any advice on how to deal with this problem? thanks in advance! if pictures of my hookah are needed i will put them up. ryno
If the hose ports are auto-seal, you most likely have a ball bearing that is sticking. You can try lubing it, or if you can take it out, replace it with a plastic air-soft bb so it wont rust on you.
SimplexCoda
Well if its hard to draw on 1 or 2 of the hoses, is someone hitting on the other hoses at the same time. If so who ever sucks harder will get smoke. If they arent being hit on at the same time then they need to be plugged while the other hose is being hit on. SimplexCoda
have you tried different hoses on the same ports?

Tom1
Clean the ball bearing since it sounds like its just gunked up. Like Ryno said, replacing the metal bearing with a 6mm airsoft bb will make it lighter and easier to pull since its lighter.edit: mixed up ryno and coda Edited July 22, 2008 by Tom16689
SuburbanSmoker
+1 Ryno has the right idea, so id listen to him. Airsoft BBs FTW, no rust, lighter, dont gunk the port.

Besides, there are a lot of better ways to solve that problem with much less risk/money.
jezter6
Depends on what kind of hookah you have and your hose ports, but on my mya it's just a screw holding them in, so I can pull the screw out and wash/scrape the gunk off the bearings and put them back in. Codename067
Just make sure to have everyone hit the hose one at a time.
