What Type Of Hookah Is This?

Recommended Posts

hokay... so first off.... this is my first post *Stands up* "hello everybody *sits down*

secondly. my old man got me this hookah as a christmas gift when he came back from iraq (he's a contractor, not a soldier) and i would love to find out exactly what kind it is. its looks like a mya saray but i cant find stems for mya's like that anywhere. since then i've paid him to ship me a couple of others. i'll try and get pics up of those tonight sometime

btw i DO NOT use the three headed bowl ever. i put that on to use as my facebook picture because friends think its cool. i generally use the bowl that came with the hookah.

smokes amazing BTW

the bowl for the one pictured and the black one i have are both screw ons and all of the parts for this one as well as the black and gold one are 100% interchangeable

I am going to say imitation mya. Somewhere on the heart, where the hose ports are, there should be a mya stamp. On the coal tray, there should be Mya stamped.

If it is is a "true" mya someone ditched the original outer shaft of the pipe and replaced it with that. Mya doesn't use anodized metal so i now the outer shaft of the stem is not mya.

It could be a Mya sold only in certain markets. Likely a knock off. Either case i would buy one.

My thoughts exactly..... Just because it's not something we see stateside doesn't mean it's not legitimate...... Regardless, it's really beautiful. Congratulations!

That is a really pretty hookah.... wub.gif
Even if it is a knockoff that is ok as long as it smokes well and you didn't pay a small fortune for it. I am fairly certain that my hookah is a knock off Mya and it smokes really well so its not something to get worried about besides, I am probably going to buy a no brand hookah soon as I like it being extremely unique and a small probability that someone else will have the same one on here biggrin.gif. Was first attracted to the stem coloured work and thought "Iranian" style. The hoses are chinese, the faux titanium coloured metal is "narosta" (don't know what it's called in english) also Chinese. I have in my 8 years smoking shisha 11 different knock-off fake hookahs and my next will probably be Chinese. The straight from Egypt and Syria hookahs sent to us are rarely from there, but usually China. Check out the beautiful India hand mades. They look nice.
