stottyb
Hi guys,To all of you in the UK.....I'm in discussions with some potential suppliers and am thinking about opening a UK based online shop. The shop would sell shisha pipes and tobacco (probably just nakhla to begin with but we'll see). The tobacco would be reasonably priced and i've have a section with videos on setting up the pipe and making the bowl etc.As hookah lovers, does this idea appeal to you or do you all have loyal suppliers already?Regards
jaredm
Not a huge fan of Nakhla myself but I would be keen to try some of the Mizo stuff if it was on sale here. Perhaps Johnny D could keep you in business if you do lots of Nakhla. If you had a good range of Al-Fakher (inc. some of the Golden ones) it'd be of real interest to me.I think for me the most important factors for buying tobacco are:- Reliable service - even a working phone number to call on would be nice.- Good range of products in-stock all the time - so many times I'm put off purchasing because there's one flavour I want that's not in stock.- Nice, simple, well-designed ordering system - uncluttered, fast and clear.- Reasonable prices - not interested in the rock bottom cheapest pricing, but a fair price.Hope that helps When are you looking to set up? stottyb
RE. the HOOKER LOVER thing, funny funny haha, it took me a whole to work out what on earth you were talking about. As for when it would all be set up.....I have contacts which can offer me unlimited Nakhla that i will probably be selling at £5.99 per 250gm box.I understand where you're coming fron with the service when purchasing online. I have a website designed with the checkout system and the paypal option all incorporated. The design is very nice. Simple, easy to use yet has everything you need.I'm going to be getting in touch with other brands, Fakher is proving to be rather difficult to get hold of at the moment but i'm doing my best. It looks like it'll be the Dubai Al Fakher i'll be selling. I'm also interested in looking into other brands and things as well. I'll keep you updated on progress. To be honest its more of a hobbie for me as shisha is something i love to do, i'll be very much one on one with my customers and i think it could be a lot of fun! I would love a UK store from which i could order new coals and such. (Nakhla here is around 2.80 GBP for 250gm so im good on tobacco)
liquidglass
Wrong, you can use paypal for anything pretty much. It doesn't have to specify what people are buying. You can't use EBAY for anything besides soex, but paypal is fine.

addicted2shisha
Any UK site selling a decent range of shisha would be welcome! You will have to sell more than just nakhla though and i very much doubt you will get any AF for a long time.... Starbuzz you could probably do if you get in touch with the owner, i have had a discussion with him once over email. Btw nakhla @ £5.99 is a decent price but try an make sure you don't get half empty boxes because its never got as many grams in the box as it claims to have! mathuv
do they still accept it? strange, its against PayPal's rules though and theyre risking alot. it also looks like they sell fake al fakher.. Edited July 24, 2008 by mathuv
AzZ
Sounds like a plan, although I agree your gonna have to stock a wider variety of shisha. I personally don't really but Nakhla but if you got some AF at a reasonable price then I would buy from you. What about other Tobacco's like Fusion or Serbetli which is a Turkish tobacco. I'm probably gettin a bit carried away as i'm sure it's harder to actually make happen then say Also eBay own Paypal and tbh they both suck. They don't give a shit about the users and do everything they can to make more $$$It's fine to pay by Paypal though but if your a seller your screwed. Maybe try Google Checkout. They seem quite good. thugacation
If you can take the risk, a good thing would be to sell things that are not easily available in the UKsuch as Coco Nara coals and Tobacco brands such as Starbuzz, Hookah Freak, Tangiers and othersand if you're looking for Al Fakher tobacco, holla at me and we'll see if something can be worked out Edited July 25, 2008 by thugacation
