r1smith
Ok this is a total noob-esque question, but is it cool to leave your hookah set up after you clean and dry it (i.e. in between sessions)? I think it would look pretty cool just chilling in my room, but if it effects the longevity of the pipe, I'd rather not. Big Boss
When you say 'set up', do you mean with the water still in the base or what?
Codename067
If I understand what you are saying, then yes I leave it setup.
AKammenzind
You're fine leaving it out. If you have a brass stem and you leave water in it your downstem will oxidize faster, but leaving it out won't hurt a thing.
Scoop
i clean mine out. after each use, so when i leave it out, its fully cleaned ready for use
AzZ
Yeah, when not in use I leave mine set up without anything in it of course. The only things that I don't have on is the bowl, grommets and hose.

TizaNabi
I understand your reluctance. Newbie is newbie if you are learning how to drive you'll have questions. and how about having a baby, it happens and if you have a partner still, just washing the baby and sticking it in the cradle might not be enough. Nothing will happen. Negative replies to newbies are snobbish and show immaturity."Didn't you towel off that new born baby newbie"? ahhhdam
Me personally I dis-assemble all of mine and put them in a long wise plastic storage container. I sadly have no room (well my GF has no room ) in the room to display them.

ryno
I mainly smoke in my garage, clean my hookah every other session and will leave it set up out there, but not with the water. I'm moving into my apartment at school soon, and I leave it set up inside there too minus the water.

ronald_dooley
I take my hookah apart completely after I clean, and I "store" them... which for me means putting the pieces in a rack in a corner of the living room. I don't have a fancy case or special cabinet for my hookah... but I've thought about it. A nice cabinet where I can store all my hookah stuff: baccy, hoses, bowls, etc.I don't suggest you put it back together after cleaning though because of condensation in the stem/base, etc. Just my 2 cents.- Ronald
