Leaving Your Hookah Set Up?

Recommended Posts

Ok this is a total noob-esque question, but is it cool to leave your hookah set up after you clean and dry it (i.e. in between sessions)? I think it would look pretty cool just chilling in my room, but if it effects the longevity of the pipe, I'd rather not. Edited by r1smith

When you say 'set up', do you mean with the water still in the base or what?

I understand your reluctance. Newbie is newbie if you are learning how to drive you'll have questions. and how about having a baby, it happens and if you have a partner still, just washing the baby and sticking it in the cradle might not be enough. Nothing will happen. Negative replies to newbies are snobbish and show immaturity."Didn't you towel off that new born baby newbie"? Edited by TizaNabi

I will leave my Hookah set up so to say, and when I go for the next smoke I clean that Hookah out and then choose between my 10 KM's I have Hookah.gif

I have a line of vases on a wall, hoses on all door knobs and I put my stems in a closet on an angle so you can see them!! smile.gif

What are you talking about? Im not seeing negative replies. I see one or two that are sarcastic, but not negative.

As for the topic at hand, if you are talkng about leaving it set up, but with no water in the base, that should be just fine.

Me personally I dis-assemble all of mine and put them in a long wise plastic storage container. I sadly have no room (well my GF has no room wink.gif ) in the room to display them.

I mainly smoke in my garage, clean my hookah every other session and will leave it set up out there, but not with the water. I'm moving into my apartment at school soon, and I leave it set up inside there too minus the water.

As long as there is no water in the base bowl, you washed the stems, blew through the hose, you are fine.

Bowls can still have the tobacco in them with the foil, thats not gonna change.

Agreed, WTF? You're only 22 posts in and you make this kind of off the wall comment with two terrible comparisons to a hookah (driving and a baby). Please tell me english isn't your first language, either that, or you were drinking hard.

I take my hookah apart completely after I clean, and I "store" them... which for me means putting the pieces in a rack in a corner of the living room. I don't have a fancy case or special cabinet for my hookah... but I've thought about it. happy.gif A nice cabinet where I can store all my hookah stuff: baccy, hoses, bowls, etc.

I don't suggest you put it back together after cleaning though because of condensation in the stem/base, etc. Just my 2 cents.

I disassemble mine and lay the stems on the floor.
