Lakemonster
Got to wondering how many ppl out there choose to set their hookah on the floor in the traditional manner... or if they use a table or some sort of pedestal. I personally have a large terracotta planter that I have turned upside down and set it on that..... I dont set m,ine on the floor due to carpeting.... makes fopr a less stable footing. What do you do?
iheartvarg1
i like the floor, with something like a textbook to set under the base
Guest Abide
lol mines on the floor on a bright orange cutting board for stability. darn this thick carpet! Im thinking about trying to find a nice stone to put it on but that might be pricey
gunsboy
My Calculus Book is the best thing to keep it stable.
ioannisds
I used to use the floor in my old house, as it was a wood laminate and very tough. Now that my new house has carpet, it goes on the coffee table, which is actually very low.
Hexagon
I always keep my bigger hookah on the floor and the small one on the table
Soup
At home, floor/ At my buddies, table. the only reason being the coffee table in between the couches that we don't want move all the time.
Sonthert
I've found the best thing is to set it on the floor...less distance for the jar to break or the charcoal to roll somewhere where you can't find them...for carpet, I've found the best soultion is a large plastic mat, the kind they use for offices...you know...the ones that people roll their rolling chairs back and forth on? Peanut
i set my hookah on the floor cuz otherwise it casts a shadow on my 8ft wide HDTV projector screen (btw, hookah smoke + projectors = AWESOME... the smoke changes colors along with whatever is on the screen, and u can see it swirl around and stuff)
dizzing
that's true, but the shadow a hookah casts on a projector screen can be cool .. ;)i was loading up windows 2000 on my friend's and the hookah shadow was just to the left of the words Windows 2000 on a whtie background.... you could also see smoke and heat distortions rising up off the top of it... like a smoldering tower of hookah on the screen
yashman19
With my larger 36" hookah, I find that the floor is the best spot for it. When on any sort of table, I have to stand up tall just to tend the coals which can be a hassle, but when on the floor its easiest to maintain. Also, if you pull a hookah over, it has a better chance of survival falling from the floor than on a table (personal experience here.....). jmexx
Floor with a towel underneath for paranoia issues. I find it gets in the way of the TV on a table when we're watching movies. Also, like tang said, if you have it falling from a high place, the after effect will be MUCH worse!Jon
