JazzyPiano
...would you go with a starter kit or buy the hookah and accessories separately? I'm facing this dilemma right now...I'm searching for starter kits but just wondering if anyone has found any luck with the quality of the hookahs that come with the kits. I'm right now fond of mnhookah but I'm not sure if a medium-sized hookah starter kit or shelling out extra cash for separate items would be right for me. Thoughts and experiences about quality versus quantity when it comes to price?
SimplexCoda
Well, do you have experience packing your own bowls and managing your own coals. Because if you arent you will go through some tobacco and coals before you get it down completely. So that means i would say get a kit so that you have that stuff to begin with. But if you are experienced with it, then i would say get them alone and go for a phunnel and such. I say to do this only if you have experience because it requires a slight bit more work. But personally im a fan of the kits. Also MNH is great.
Santino
What is coming with the package? I generally recommend against the packages because a good portion of the stuff that it comes with you'll hardly use. It'll be good enough to get you started but your personal preferences will step in eventually and you'll be more geared towards other accessories that would fit your setup better.Just my .02. hookah hippie
All depends on what starter pack you get if it comes with good stuff then its worth it and price is a big factor
Big Boss
Hookah and accessories separately. Knowing what I know now, I'd most likely buy a KM or a Nour with a small phunnel and a bunch of Tangiers.
srawas89
Looking at your links Mya's are reliable and smoke well, since you are starting out I think this is a good thing, I have not smoked Havana Tobacco before however just look in the review section to see if its good tobacco. The coals are good 3 kings is a good brand for quick lights and the Japanese Coals should be fine. Just remember 3kings are quick lights so they only need a flame to start however the Jap coals need a stove to heat up initially. This will take about 5-10 min. This is a good kit because you get to find out weather you prefer the quick lights or the more natural Jap coals. I say go with it especially if you like the way the hookah looks. Later once you find what you like and such but things separately.

The other thing you have to consider is your financial situation. If money is not an object for you, then don't waste your time with a cheap "starter." Get a good, quality KM... in fact, get one from HC that is of sturdy quality! Get the necessary accessories, too: phunnel bowl, Nammor/Razan hose, lots of flavors, etc. and start enjoying it.On the other hand, if money is an issue, then get a Mya QT and a proven flavor standard like Nakhla two apple, AF Melon, whatever... and try it out. You'll be out $50. If you decide you enjoy hookah and it's a part of your life, you can buy the other stuff and upgrade your hookah at your own pace.- Ronald
Bulldog_916
Get the Bambino starter kit. 1, its a great hookah and very portable so you can get out and smoke other places than home. 2, it leaves you some dough to sample all kinds of different tobaccos. Good luck.

AF and SB are pretty good tobaccos (I've never had Potion so I can't say anything about that). I tend to forget about them from time to time. Good call! +1 for you, too. Good luck.+1000 I would have gotten the Bambino, from hookah-shisha.com first. plus they give a lot of freebies and with left over money you can get some extra stuff. I love my 3 hose pharaoh, but starting out that would have been much better deal and cheaper. Now I got 2 bambinos and I love them
Drums13182
Id say go with the bambino but you can go to www.hookah-shisha.com and they give you all the stuff you need for free anyways. Then go to MN and get the 3 pack of 250g Al Fakhers and you will be set for while!
hookah hippie
out of those 2 choices I would go with the bambino
seefoodlover
Sorry to go against the vibe, but, I say go to hookahcompany.com and buy everything seperately. MNHookah just looks so complicated. Buy yourself a nice looking hookah, and buy some shisha you think sounds pretty tasty! Al Fakher, Al waha, Starbuzz, etc. You really don't need too much else besides a bowl, coals, and shisha. They generally include the basics. You'll save alot of money on the hookah itself, and have more money to buy shisha. Idk if you like the myas, but i'm pretty sure they've got them on there. Shop around, I personally like hookahcompany, fast shipping, great service, selection, etc. But if you find someone with better prices, better looking hookahs, then go for it. oolatec
What kind of budget are you on? For small hookahs, those two from Mya aren't bad... but eventually, you will find yourself craving a bigger, more traditional pipe, trust me. Go to HC.Good bang for your buck = Magdy Zidan, in my humble opinion. Don't forget the forum discount either... which brings the price down even more...http://hookahcompany.com/crescent_moon_hookah_3163_prd1.htmAll you'd need extra are coals (I'd start off with 3 Kings quicklites), and some tobacco... AF, Fusion, and Fantasia are really good brands... check the reviews section for more specifics regarding flavors.
Molson
if your looking for a whole started kit just go to hookah-shisha and buy a hookah. Comes with everything you need even a small amount of coals and shisha.
