JazzyPiano
As a birthday present to myself (and the fact that my new digital camera only cost me $160 instead of the orginally expected $300+) I'm FINALLY caving in and buying a hookah for myself. I like the idea of the travel-sized version, so I'm getting the Bambino kit http://mnhookahs.com/product_info.php?cPat...7b9c037be14faec and a small tangiers phunnel http://mnhookahs.com/product_info.php?products_id=54 from MN. Do I pretty much have everything I need for a while or should I consider getting anything else for my first purchase?Placing the order as soon as it's payday at the end of the week. OC4111
well, what are you going to order in terms of shisha. My reccomendatin would be Tangier Lucid, Al-Fakher, and coco nara coals. Once you have that you'll be set.
ryno
Seems like a solid order. You could try a small pack of natural coals to try those out

momatik
I don't mean to be critical of your order, but I think it's a lot to spend on such a small hookah.http://shop.gothookahs.com/product.sc?cate...mp;productId=23That's a brand name MZ for $32 and some argue that MZs smoke better than KMs (I said "some" Codename)With the dough you save I'd suggest getting natural coals, a good hose, the phunnel you are already planning to buy, and some extra shisha.I know you want something smaller but you can ask anyone transporting a hookah this size isn't a problem. Giant Ninja Robot
dont stick to just the Havana. It's a pretty subpar shisha by my standards. Id definately say up the shisha quantity a bit so you have enough to last a while and gete you through the honeymoon smoke all the time period. And it will pay to try some natural coals. Maybe just the small box of cocos. My 2 cents

Codename067
For $75, you can find many better hookahs. Wont be as small, but will be better for sure. The one momatik listed is a really nice one for the price.
GiantSquid
Sounds pretty good to me. My buddy has a bambino and I really really like it. Yeah, you could get a KM or MZ for less than that, but I mean, a good hookah is a good hookah. As far as I'm concerned, as long as it isn't a piece of junk from some local store like my first hookah, you should be fine. The little KMs and MZs are a little funny looking to me (not that the bambino isn't, but it's cute), but once you get a bigger hookah (and you will, just being on this forum makes me want to spend money everyday) go with a KM or MZ. The big ones are absolutely beautiful and are way cheaper than a Mya of the same size. Apparently they also hit much better (haven't tried one yet) but IMO a good, solid, great looking hookah just is what it is.And Havana is good but I think you'll find AF, SB and Tangiers are much better. Although other than some weird brand I sort of found at some store I have yet to find a brand of shisha that didn't have at least one flavor I liked. Molson
The Bam is amazing IMO. It hit just as well as my 28'' Social Smoke Sirius hookah, so naturally i sold that one and kept the bam. Its way easier to clean, to set up, easier to take around, and provieds a great smoke. I never tried a KM but with a smoke experice with the bambino...i simply cant be bothers cleaning that beast. Good choice IMO but get lots of 50g packs of differenct brands of shisha as well as different flavours. A box of simple quick light coals and you'll be set for a while. After that is done you will have a good idea what you like then your next order can be a quantity order (and by then you'll have more cash).Thats what i think, but it looks good. jakescakes
thats a tiny hookah and they are raping you if you buy it at 75$something like a mya acrylic would be perfect size, much better value, I paid like 65 for mine. still portable, worry free acrylic.now that you have a decent hookah, you can perfect it with. . . namoor hose = wideer gauge will not rust like mya washablesphunnel/ deep egyptian bowl = standard mya bowls are kharracoco naras/ dont knock it till you try it. very clean taste compared to Quicklight kharraal fakher for quality/pricenow you have the perfect setup Edited July 29, 2008 by jakescakes

Anyway a deep bowl is not really necessary, if you use a mya wide bowl you will be ok (Thats what I use), coco naras are def. a way to go they last much longer than quick lights and def. buy some Al Fakher but buy the samples first to find out what you really like...now if only they had Golden Al Fakher in 50g boxes

Bulldog_916
I think she made an excellent decision with the Bambino. Pick up some Al Waha and some Fusion Shisha and natural coals and you're set.

Stuie
Bambino is amazing. I got 2. But seriously that's a lot of havana, and a lot of quicklights...2 things you will get over real quickI personally would get the Bambino and Small Phunnel From Hookah-shisha.com plus if you want to branch out quickly to Tangiers Lucid, H-S has the cheapest out there. Plus you save 20bucks on the bambino and get 2 packs of romman and 2 rolls of golden quick lights. and if you decide you don't like them you don't have a ton just sitting around. Just don't get Romman Grape. That's My 2 Cents.
