MAJIKVEGGIE
[attachment=1892:hookah_012__2_.jpg]What do you think? Mya Divas are the most stable but too small for a hookah lounge. I'm leaning towards rotators.
fineout
mush uses mya QTs in his lounge and does fine. Edited July 30, 2008 by fineout
mattathayde
it depends how many people are in a group and how they are smoking.when we go and there are a bunch of people our there are enough of us to be sitting in a semi circular form the rotators work great. if we are sitting more so just next to each other or in like an L shape the standard type hookahs work fine.the lounge i like to go to have a mix of the 2. they have some rotators, a bunch of myas and some KMs (or at least i think KMs they look like them).i think the rotators over all are a little more forgiving sine if a hose gets pulled the base can rotate some before the whole hookah will start to move.-matt

peterjmag
If you're only going to be serving single-hose hookahs, the rotators are probably good. If you're serving multiple hose hookahs though, rotators are a bit pointless. Make sure you get some decently long hoses, too. That'll cut down quite a bit on accidents. ASUSEAN1
i personally don;t like rotators, plus they aren;t the most durable hookahs..
ryno
I think rotators work well in longues, easy to get the hose around in the circle. I know Mush uses QTs in his lounge, and I think those would work good because they are small and have a lower center of gravity, and are harder to tip over. mattathayde
the only issue with rotators is that with constant use liek they get in lounges they end up wearing out faster, but a few of the people that work at my local place that uses them say that for a personal hookah they are ok just as long as you give a little care to them so for a busy lounge maybe not the best but i mean 2 years in a lounge isnt too bad-matt
mushrat
when they rotate they aren't as stable. Plus larger hookahs in general aren't very stable. Have plenty of spare parts handy for when your customers knock them over. The othe rproblem with bigger hookahs, especially if you are putting them on say low tables, is that they tend to block peoples view of each other when you have several on the table. I like the QT because they are inexpensive, hard to knock over, you can have 5 or 6 on a table and still see people accross the table, and they still smoke great. But, if you are going for a "traditional" look, they don't fit in as well....though Rotators arent exactly traditional either. :-)
momatik
i like the idea of QTs but a big hookah can work as long as you make sure the furniture is extremely stable.

Codename067
Maybe, depends on the seating and the setting.
MechAnt
Rotators are known to be leaky a bit. That and with many connections, there is a lot of room for error.

MAJIKVEGGIE
I think I'm going to go with the Mya Diva actually.I don't like my QT & I think my rotators are kind of junky. Thanks for all the help. My mother actually told me that the Divas were the best & if mushrat uses QTs; then that calms my fears Edited August 1, 2008 by MAJIKVEGGIE
mushrat
cool..glad we could help. And if people look at them and say "don't you have anything bigger?" tell them to try it first, they will be suprised..then have plenty on hand to sell ;-)
