EsOva
ok...i was just wondering what you guys and gals look for when you smoke certain shisha's. I personally want to become a more mature smoker so any advice will be appreciated! ...my way of telling whether a certain shisha is good or not, i try to taste the flavor and if there is alot of thick white smoke with the flavor then thats a good thing! mushrat
Welcome! The first thing I would do is look back through past posts and read people's reviews. You'll see what each of us considers important to our smoking enjoyment. You can use the search engine to find posts with "review" in them and THAT should keep you busy for a while. Sounds like you are on the right track to me!
MR Bubble
Hi EsOva! Great question! My advice to you is to continue enjoying the qualities that you presently do in a shisha smoking session. What I personally look for is going to be different than what you enjoy about the experience, such as I don't like my tobacco saturated in a lot of flavor. I like mild hints of flavors with a lot of smoke. Much different than the majority here. Who's right? Nobody. We all win! Have fun on the forum! jmexx
Welcome esova!Well you'll end up acquiring different tastes in your journey of great sheesha sessions. Once you begin to become a connaisseur (translation: expert) of the hookah, you'll start to be a little more picky in certain areas. Many times, some of my friends who smoke occassionaly wouldn't notice the hint of burnt tobacco in the head and that the heat management has to be changed, then there's the friends who smoke a lot who notice without any mention. You seem like you're on the right track, don't smoke unmentionables in there, keep her clean and try as many ma'assel companies that you can.Jon
Sonthert
Hi. A few tips on being a happy smoker:#1 Don't be a stooge. There's guys out there who only see, hear and taste one brand. God forbid if they should say something nice about some other brand. #2 Make up your own mind. If everybody says "Brand X sucks.", try Brand X, try to see if you agree or disagree with other people and why. #3 Find things you like and then find more things you like through other people. Once you become anchored to one flavor, you miss the opportunity of trying a new and more fabulous flavor. #4 Find out if you are a habit smoker, a circular smoker or novelty smoker. A habit smoker is a guy who has strange attractions to nuns. Ha, seriously though. Habit smokers pretty much smoke one flavor from one company, occasionally a second flavor (same company or not). Circular smokers smoke the same handful of flavors over and over again. A novelty smoker is a person who likes trying new things all the time and gets tired of a flavor (brand?) and can't smoke it anymore. Good luck. Brad
*Raises hand*I'm a novelty smoker ...well, sometimes I think I'm a novelty person.Buzzes have started to play a part in which shishas I smoke. If I'm looking for a strong buzz, I go for Tangiers. If I want to not feel like I had smoked anything afterwords (before I need to go somewhere), then I smoke some Al Amir or Fakher. Then of course I have my own flavor preferences that I factor in too.

jmexx
What tang REALLY wants to say is no matter what people say about his tobacco, give it a try anyways . Novelty smokers are like whores (can I say that in the forum?) having sex with one person just to have sex with another... Sorry, but it's the closest comparison I can think of at the moment, with my sex-filled thoughts!Smoke as much as you can as often as you can, ha.Jon
