Big Boss
Boiling water is no where near as hot as the coals. The only way it could crack would be if it cooled down too fast and suffered thermal shock.

I don't want it too breakHow does it seem like its getting stress?Exposure to high temperature will not crack glass. It is the sudden change in temperature that will (from sudden thermal expansion/contraction) or difference in temperature within the object (due to inconsistent thermal expansion/contraction).I think you should be able to prevent both of these by heating it up and cooling it down along with the water. However, I really think that a good scrubbing with soap & hot water will do, but thats just me.
