throat pain..

Man i was smoking PHAROAHS tobbaco today..it was peach by the way.. in the beggining it was really smooth then after 5 minutes or so my throat started to hurt on every puff and i began coughing on each puff alsoWhats Wrong??

drink more water?i've had that problem and found that drinking some water is a good way to fight that.

Peach flavors can be very sharp, I believe its the esters in them. Several melon flavors are similar. Try using hot water in the jar. A peach flavor for a beverage will be "unbalanced" in a hookah flavor, so they add extra flavor to compensate which makes it harsh.It may be a humidity effect from the tobacco being packaged at a higher humidity than you are smoking it at. Try letting it breathe in the air you will be smoking it in for several hours.

i always keep a jug of water next to me when i hookah. the smoke (my
allergist explained) burns all the cilia (tiny little hairs) down your
nasal passage and throat, so the water should sooth that nicely. The
hairs dont grow back for another six months, try a cold bottle of
poland spring, and a puff back into the hose to clear out some of the harsh smoke.

Water could definately help.It could also be the way you prepare your bowl having the tobacco burn very quickly equaling to a harsh smoke, who knows.Good luckJon
