Hmmm about these screens. I take it, that by placing the coal on the glass screen, you heat up the screen. Then the screen actually becomes the heat source to smoke up the shisha?

Are you having to pack the shisha higher? It looks as tho the screen is convexed a bit.

Actually the screen is pretty flat until you get to the center. I packed Tangiers like normal and smoked the crap out of it. It was amazing! It takes a minute to get warmed up but when it does you are good to go.

Very nice, what about he first part of my post. Does the glass screen become the heat source to get the shisha cookin?

Essentially yes. you are right on that. I may actually be able to use those silver japs now and not worry about taste.

To answer your question the glass is obviously hotter directly underneath the coals but yes the entire screen does get pretty hot and heats the bowl pretty evenly

I have a quick question. Do you think it will work with the Tangiers med funnel with the MNH Scallis Glass Phunnel Bowl Mod? If so, I know what I am ordering! happy.gif

Oh yeah

It doesn't have to be a perfect seal for this screen to work. It can go over the edge or just inside the lip of the bowl. Doesn't matter. Mine will work on my small and medium phunnels plus my hemi bowls.

I have my doubts that it will work if your using the mnh scali mod. I placed the screen on my large phunnel with the mod in it and it didnt seem to fit...

after smoking from it for 7-12 or so times, im gonna go ahead and say it...if you pack tangiers w/out the mod, and use the glass screen, its not as good as the small phunnel...in fact, im gonna go even farther and say its pretty meh. you need a lot of heat to get nice hits, the flavor is dull as well. it wasn't harsh at all, you could taste it fine, just needed way too much heat to provide decent clouds.

id say w/out the mod, i prefer to not even use it...with the mod its better, but fuck, the mod is a pain in the ass to clean

I packed tangiers horchata in mine the other day and I used the mod and the screen and I had an amazing bowl out of it

What exactly is Horchata?

This is a refreshing rice-based drink made from ground up rice and sugar

a drink prepared with rice.

A sweet rice drink

The tangiers flavor tastes like milky cinnamony goodness!

Im still as to confused how you put coals on this? Where online can you get this bowl and the glass top?

MNHookah.com!

Place coals on screen but your gonna need to flip them every so often. The side touching the screen goes out due to lack of air.

i rele think im gonna have to pick one of these suckers up but im skeptical about the fact that when you take a hit the air heats up the charcoal to make it suitable for a hit where as this the air doesnt touch is so how does it stay lit..

well air is still drawn across the coal to get into the hole in the screen.
