HMT
I know, I know. This topic has been brought up so many times and "search" is my friend. I know. I have read multiple threads about tangiers and how to acclimate it, how to pack it, and all that. However, its not entirely clear to me where you should acclimate tangiers. I read that it should be acclimated in the same environment where you would smoke it. Is this correct?I almost always (99%) of the time smoke outside on my patio. Is it ok to acclimate outside? or is it better to just acclimate it in a dark, room temp. room. BTW I live in Cali, LA. So weather isn't really an issue. It does get hot during the day at this time of year. Thanks for all your input in advance.P.S. I just recieved my order of peach iced tea, red tea, and horchata flavors. cant wait to try them. OC4111
I would acclimate it inside your house. I would thing you would not want to acclimate it outside in the heat. Once it smells like it should then you good to go to smoke outside.

I do not like to put mine on aluminum foil, you lose too much juices. Also I go by smell more then time. When it smells like what it is supposed to be, smoke it!! I have acclimated it as little as one hour to three days!
Big Boss
I usually acclimate for about 12 hours in a tupperware container. Instead of my kitchen I'll do it in my basement where it's cool and dark. I don't usually go by smell.
imfantabulous
acclimate it indoors, but with a window open, otherwise the humidity inside and outside may be different
SimplexCoda
Well, the thing about acclamating outdoors is it mgiht get hot if left in direct sun. But if you have some shade to put in that would be fine. Other wise go with what everyone else said and jsut do it inside. Oh and if your worried about brids and flys and stuff gettin in it outside, they wont cause of the nicotine.
