how many 3 kings coals do you recommend i use on a normal size bowl? 2? or just 1 split in half?

What shisha? For an average sized egyptian I would think 2 would be plenty. If its harsh or thin, subtract or add.

im using nakhla. i used 1 yesterday split in half and the smoke was sooo thin.

I use a hammer and nail to break up the 3 Kings to halves or thirds. I use either 3 thirds or 2 halves spread out.

For Quicklights, Golden and 3K, I use 2 slightly stacked on top of each other. Rarely move it around, but that's been a while before i got coco nara's

2-3 depending on bowl depth and shisha. More is always better than less because you can remove coals if necessary.

2-3 on the bowl simultaneously? might as well put a hot coal in your mouth.

when i use a standard bowl, i only need one at a time. when the coal reaches to be "dime size" then i add a fresh coal.

idk what every does to be able to use so much coal in general.

all of the lounges i go to (even the really good one) uses just one QL on a standard size bowl, at my friends place with a deep mya bowl we used 2 but it was getting a little to much.

for the naturals people talk about using 3/4 of exoticas or 3-4 coconauras but unless you have a huge huge bowl i think its over kill, maybe just the set ups ive been using pull more air in or the amount of people smoking get the shisha really hot with that little of coal.

so to answer your question i would just use 1 and move it around and go from there, if tis not enough heat you could add a half on, if you really want to break it apart go for it but i dont think it is worth it with QLs

Well first of all they are using a funnel which holds more of the glycerin and that means more heat because it is a deterrent of sorts from my understanding. Second they are using AF which is extremely juicy so that produces thicker clouds.
You are using Nakhla which normally is significantly drier than AF and other brands so instead of putting on more heat try using AF tobacco instead or a juicy brand of tobacco. I smoke Nakhla regularly and you get decent clouds but they are definitely not thick and on a standard bowl one coal is plenty if you put 2 it will burn and splitting it is just not practical especially with quicklights as they sometimes tend to crumble by themselves anyway.

Edit: I forgot they are also using a nammor hose which has a very large diameter which pulls much more smoke in one hit so all that combined and you will get that much smoke. Edited by srawas89
