Soda In Base?

Recommended Posts

The CO2 might give you a headache. Aside from that it'll be OK.

I dunno what the hell this 'soda' is... but if you put POP in the base it does add some flavor. What's really good is smoking vanilla shisha with flat rootbeer in the base. Friggin awesome.

"pop" is a bad sound that normally means you need to fix something or stop the car

soda is something you drink

northerners, pshht

i wouldnt use soda in the vase, try juice or fruit slices in the vase, as to fully or mixed, see what works for you, try about 50/50 max at first, if there is not enough flavor change it or try it later with more

only some of the generalizations of how some of the stuff works up there... and the fact that its the only place in the world there is not sweet tea already made (the "we have sugar packets" is not the same thing)

Amen

But as to the OP. I've used straight OJ in my base and it worked perfectly. Never used soda, though. Not sure what flavor I'd use it with. I'm not a fan of the cola flavored ma'assels. I think I'd agree with others and say make sure it's flat before you put it in the base. The carbination could be...interesting.

I can't speak to the soda but I have a similar idea.

I'm sure anybody who's had to keep beer really cold knows that putting salt with ice water makes the water MUCH colder (I don't know all the chemistry behind it, something about lowering the melting point of the ice or something). Has anybody tried doing this in the vase of a hookah? I don't really want to try it because I'm not a fan of breathing salt vapor. lol

However, it if worked, I imagine the smoke would be very cold. Anybody tried this or have any reasons why it wouldn't work?

ive done it, first rip is nasty as the soda bubbles, but after that its fine. Goodluck

Pretty much explains it right there. The first few hits are rough, but once you "flatten" the soda you are good to go. You could always open a can and set it out for a few hours to release the carbonation. Or just shake it up a bunch in the bottle and slowly let all the carbonation out.
