Recommended Posts

i just bought tea and the only thing i know about it is its possibly called higatea, the japanese people who sold it to me said it was very healthy, but i want to know what it is before i try it. theres a picture of a yellow flower and the tea is grinded up and looks like yellow flour. theres also a picture of what looks like roots on it, thick roots so i believe its ground up roots but do not know. if you can tell me about the plant or the tea ill give you 1,000 points. if you can do it within 24 hours thats 400 more points.

thanks, btw the website is http://rakuten.co.jp/higatea

Turmeric plant

In Ayurvedic medicine, turmeric is thought to have many medicinal properties and many in India use it as a readily available antiseptic for cuts, burns and bruises. Practitioners of Ayurvedic medicine say it has fluoride which is thought to be essential for teeth. It is also used as an antibacterial agent.

It is taken in some Asian countries as a dietary supplement, which allegedly helps with stomach problems and other ailments. It is popular as a tea in Okinawa, Japan. It is currently being investigated for possible benefits in Alzheimer's disease, cancer and liver disorders."
