Addicted To Hookah?

Recommended Posts

I only smoke Tangiers so yes I think I have a nicotine addiction. It is not like cigarettes at all, I smoked for many years. I can deal without Hookah, but I do smoke a few cigs if I am out playing in our Band. American Spirit Menthol lights ftw!!

I dont think so. I've smoked Tangiers, Nakhla, Al Waha, Layalina, Fusion, Starbuzz, and a few others and none of them have a sufficient nicotine content to make me addicted. Addiction needs involuntary impulse. Every time I smoke hookah it is voluntary and free of impulse. I smoke when I want to, in other words, not when my body tells me I need to.

yes, theres a small addiction part to it, its not only the nicotine, its the social part, the smoking outside part. its alot harder to smoke alone then to smoke with friends or outside looking at nature.

I really dont think that theres much of an addiction.... I agree with Canon on the social aspect. I smoked alot by myelf this summer, but it was hard to smoke alot. Now that I'm back down at school with some friends, we smoke all the time.

Smoke many times a day working at home by the p.c. Still , if travelling Wouldn't think of taking even a mini along. Jewish holidays or every Sabbath we don't light fire so I'll skip that weekly and after the 25 hours are over I often get to work and don't smoke. As much as I smoke, it's not a physical withdraw ever.
I think though it's an individual, personal body thing.

LINKY!!!

Worth posting here since it states that light users (3 pipes a week) are 90% and moderate users (3-6 per week) are 50% likely to be unaddicted to hookah smoking, thereby declaring that by scientific testing hookah has been found addictive but depends also on a person's physical chemistry and genetic makeup.

If you for some godforsaken unknown reason have not read this article, do it already!
