blow_some_O's
ok, this was just weird. i woke up this morning and was really in the mood to smoke. so, i fired up my hookah with some nakhla fruit punch (which ive never had before) and it tasted okay. it gave me a great buzz. probably the best one ive had in a while. then all of a sudden i started getting really sweaty. next thing i know, i was throwing up. i couldn't believe it. i didnt think it was possible to throw up from smoking. Has this ever happened to anyone else? maybe it happened cause i hadn't eaten yet? i was awake for maybe an hour and then i smoked, but i didnt eat anything. What do u think made me throw up???? MrMoodz
Maybe nicotine poisoning?? Smoking on an empty stomach always makes me feel a little light headed. Also, if you swallowed any of the smoke it would've added to the queeziness factor. I haven't vomited from hookah before but I have gotten sweaty, dizzy, light headed, etc.
liquidglass
It sounds more like a combo of Co2 and Nicotine. What kind of coals were you using?
Canon
you just woke up, did you eat before you smoked?
momatik
Never smoke on an empty stomach man. Especially something like Nakhla that's going to hit hard.
Chiefin
Virgin lungs. Nah just kidding - this happens to me from time to time, just not to the degree of throwing up. I may sweat a little or get a bad headache but it's rare. I always eat before hand and drink a glass of water throughout my session.
Stuie
happened to me on an extremely full stomach...with Tangiers K-Apple...Canon was there... Too much nicotine on an empty or full stomach and bam! You lose it.*Side Note - Still love K-Apple Though!
mjdx88
I have smoked on an empty stomach and no issues, this sounds more co2 issue.

srawas89
IT could just be nicotine poisoning. I have had that exp. before minus the puking but I started to sweat like crazy and was clammy and pale and shit...that is def. Nicotine over dose and maybe if you have a weak stomach you threw up as well cuz I def. felt queasy.
garykainz
just to deviate from the general concensus and give you a broader scope... how's your hose look? what kind of hose is it? is it rusted out? i vom'd super hard after using my old mothereffinpieceofshit cobra hose for a session. after i recovered, i tore that bitch apart and found it all rusted to shit. so that could be an option

pigpen
Could also be a simple bug - millions of forms of bacteria and viruses are all around us. How good are you about washing your hands?
Giant Ninja Robot
I did get sick (not puking sick but almost) a couple weeks ago from using 3Ks that were unbeknownst to me manufactured in early 06. So could coal age be a factor? Just a thought. Edited August 14, 2008 by giant ninja robot
Raziel510
Back when I was just beginning to learn about hookah (didn't even have my own yet) my best friend told me that he smoked hookah the night before and that he puked pretty bad. He puked so bad that he swore up and down that he would never smoke hookah again. Again, I'm not sure what caused it but I do know that he smoked on an empty stomach and he was taking massive hits with no break in between so that's probably what did it to him. In any case, I make it a personal rule to never smoke on an empty stomach and for times where I feel like I'm getting a really big buzz, I'll start drinking a glass of water and space out the times I take a hit.Oh, and my friend went back to smoking hookah within a week. Haha. Edited August 14, 2008 by Raziel510
szemek
CO2 is harmless.CO is not. There's a big difference.
Rayneuki
CO2 is not harmless. Carbon Dioxide is what you breathe out. If you breathe it in, you are breathing in the 'exhaust' from your body. Both are dangerous.I'd try to see if the hose was rusted out though. Best to check everything.Or you could have just been sick, and that's why you felt like doing hookah... Something familiar to comfort you?
