For Those That Have Glass Screens

Recommended Posts

I just want to get some ideas and opinions of how people that have the glass screen from MNH are cleaning them. After a session there is shisha that is "cooked" on to the screen that does not come off easily. I tried using the same method as I do for the glass mod of my jet phunnel which is letting it sit in water and dishwashing soap over night and the clean it off with a Scotch Brite sponge but this isn't good enough. I scrape the bigger pieces off with knife but the screen isn't completely clean. Any ideas?

SOS Pads

Egg shaped steel wool with soap

You can find them at Walmart, Walgreens, United, 7-11, pretty much any cleaning section anywhere.

Ya i have tried the knife method of scraping the big stuff off. But there are still little bitty specs that refuse to come off, i have even tried the comet method, not so much either. im thinkin steel wool or something of the like, next screen i have im thinkin im gonna put a very very very light layer of olive oil, but i am a little afraid that it might mess with the flavor.

I am using an SOS pad and then boil it for about 10 minutes...getting about 95% of it off

When you boil it, what do you add to the water?

Onions, Mushrooms, Carrots, Potatoes, did I miss anything??

Try some lemon juice and baking soda

All I do is throw it on the stove for 10 mins and burn the burnt off of it...

I cleaned it last night, 15 minutes in the boiling water, grabbed it with tongs and put in on a towel waited a minute and picked up and scraped the rest off with a plastic dish scrapper...99.9% clean
