peterjmag
I'm on Comcast cable at home, and I haven't been able to access this site for the last few days from my home computer. I've had to VPN in to my work computer to get on, because it works fine there. I can log in without a problem on my work computer, so I don't think I've been banned or anything.I can ping hookahforum.com from home, but when I try to open it up in FF3, IE7/8, or Safari 3, I just get a network timeout error ("The server is taking too long to respond," etc). I've tried flushing Vista's DNS cache (ipconfig /flushdns), but it's not a DNS problem since I'm getting and pinging the correct IP address. I also tried bringing up the site on my roommate's computer (on the same network), and I had the same problem there, so I don't think the problem is with my computer (the network or the Comcast connection itself, most likely).EDIT: Forgot to mention that I checked my hosts file too, but there were no entries related to hookahforum.I'm an IT guy and a web developer (read: I should be able to fix this), but I'm stumped. Any ideas? Edited August 16, 2008 by peterjmag
