newjacksm
So I smoked out of my funnel bowl like 4 times so far and I noticed that the inside of the bowl (not the funnel) is getting charred and then I noticed that the inside isn't glazed like the handle is.Is that how all of them are?I hate how it looks but my Modern bowl doesnt look half as bad as this thing and has been through way more smoke then the funnel. MechAnt
The inside of the stem part of the bowl is not glazed. It's never a problem. No one has complained of it having a negative effect. You're fine.

MechAnt
Ic now, I thought you were describing the inside of the stem part especially with the line "not the phunnel".It's just how it works. It's not like you're looking INSIDE the bowl when you're smoking and trying to impress others. A brillo pad or something of similar qualities will get rid of nicely after a soak in some hot water. Does this normally happen?

iamscott06
Mine get that as well. Just clean it with a brillo pad after every couple uses. All but one of mine look brand new still.

Codename067
Ha! You n00bs ^.^ You can get everything out, everything. Your best friend in this case would be Sandpaper. I have 'sand-papered' my bowls to get them nifty clean. Make sure you dont rape your bowl as you sand all the black crap off. If you go too hard you might scratch the glazed part. Also, a good idea would be to get the sandpaper wet before you clean the bowl, it gets the blackness out much faster. ryno
Mine is that way too, but since that part of the bowl is black, I dont notice it that much. It doesnt effect how it smokes for me at all, so you should be fine. Try using a Scotchbrite pad or as Codename said some sandpaper
